Downing wasn't bad but lets not get a boner over his performance. I still would of sub him. All i know if the same 11 play against Arsenal were in trouble. Today's game shouldn't of been that close. I'm happy they won but being Carling Cup winners isn't going to attract top class players signing for Liverpool.

Now that was some game! Cardiff played their part well and were unlucky. Liverpool had so many shots which Cardiiff defended well against, they're a decent team.

A trophy is a trophy, no matter what one. Hopefully that win gives the team the hunger to go on and get that CL spot
