Miss the entire season? If they lose the appeal he will get a 10 game ban. How comes when an English player John Mackie or whatever his name was, admits to being racially abusive to another player infront of his own teams black players, gets off with a 8 match ban but 5 suspended??????

Call somebody once twice three times it does not matter. They had people giving evidence from each team say Giggs and Kuyt and they each explained what was said/heard, then the FA gave there ban to the individual who had used a racist comment to another opposition player. Like I have said in my other post, expect a season ban.

Oh dear Andy...you still havent read it...

Giggs and Kuyt only stated what the players told them...not what they heard.

        The penalty:

If he said it once, they can only dish on twice the normal ban...which would be 4 games.

Because they said he probably said it 7 times, they had the power to increase that ban.

All I want is fairness, I accept he said it and it doesn't matter whether it is acceptable or not in other countries, he said it and has to face up to it. So give him the penalty that is allowed with evidence available...not probability.

I believe if he got the ban for saying it once..then our club would have accepted it, albeit they may have stated he was sorry and didnt realise it was an unacceptable comment here.

Do you really believe Utd wouldn't back their player...they did with Schmeichel....which I see you never respondd about.

Evra admits saying "Concha de tu hermana" which he said means "****ing hell" in English but it translates to "Your sisters pussy"

@Jaffa & zee. Why use other players who in the past history have had racist abuse towards them when their nothing to do with this UTD/LFC players now.
@Jaffa m8, How do you see this panning out with LS & PE?

Why use past players...surely you accept you cannot have one rule for one and a different rule for another...it has to be consistant. This is NOt about Utd or LFC...it's about everyone, rules have to be the same for everyone.

How do I see this panning out.

I would expect our club to appeal but would respect their decision if they didn't. Accept that he said it (even if he didn't mean it as stated by panel) and ask for penalty to be on the evidence and not probability.

This whole thing about Suarez is getting world wide attention. If i am reading in the papers here means now it doesn't matter if Suarez is guilty or not all Liverpool need to do is try to get the ban reduced and then leave it alone. Suarez should of been told the world wide golden rule. Don't speak out against blacks and Jews racially or pay the price.

I can't believe Liverpool are looking to sign Daren Bent! He is the biggest turkey of them all. I couldn't stand when Capello called him up for the England squad now Kenny is looking at him. Why don't just sign Downing mother it would be the same thing. Don't you think there are much better strikers ( I don't think we need a striker ) out there. Maybe Kenny should lace them up again since at his age he still has more talent then Bent. Do you think it is wise Liverpool sign a black player to play along side Suarez?

in a civil case the balance of probability can be used as evidence against the alleged perpetrator of the offence, so nothing fishy about the verdict on that account.he didn't help himself by admitting using it once, which then left himself open, on the evidence which was provided that he said it more than once.ie the balance of probability was that it was more than once in fact seven times were mentioned in document. hence the eight game ban.

Why does it matter to you if Capello calls him up to the England squad, i mean aint you a yank? or do you support England. Anyway yeah i hope its rubbish, besides Villa paid 24 mill on him cnt see them selling him for less then 20 mill and for that you can get someone alot better.

We need a goal poacher, we have too many work horse like players

The FA state they don't beleive Suarez is racist nor does Evra.

Then they say if you use racially offensive language, you are racist. Whether you say it once, twice or a million times.

I mean make your mind up is he racist or not.

Then we find that 1 of the panel had been reading newspaper articles about the case before the hearing, in which he should have been replaced.

This document has been changed to contradict the official statement made by Liverpool on the day of the outcome. It was meant to be released the day after the verdict. Everything the club said they found unjust is made out why they came to the decision on a certain point the club had highlighted.

They've done this to make it hard for the club to appeal. Even if the club doesn't want to appeal i think they will as Suarez and his agent have already said they will and I expect the club will back him as they've already done so far.

You've got to feel sorry for liverpool as a football club in all this. They are stuck in the middle if they dont show there support for saurez they risk him being unsettled and thinking ~~~~ this i'm off, they have to appeal it otherwise all the comments made before and after the guilty verdict would have been for nothing. personaly i think they are doing more harm than good atm, they are getting publicity but for the wrong thing. theres one thing its going to be intresting.

Former Liverpooland Everton defender Gary Ablett has died aged 46 after a 16-month battle against non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Ablett began his career at Liverpool, before moving to the blue half of Merseyside in 1992. He made over 100 appearances for both clubs, before enjoying three years at Birmingham City.
He managed Stockport County from 2009 to 2010.
A statement from the League Managers Association said: "Respected throughout the game by players, coaches and managers alike Gary will be sadly missed. The LMA?s thoughts and condolences are with Gary?s wife Jacqueline and children."

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
