THE TRUTH
The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12
Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.Comment

FA Cup: Liverpool fans want cheaper Arsenal tickets
A Liverpool supporters' group has called for a reduction in ticket prices when their side plays at Arsenal in the FA Cup next month.
Spirit of Shankly have written to both clubs citing prices of ?62 to ?93 for travelling fans when the Reds lost 2-0 at the Emirates in November.
They also say November's 17:30 GMT start led to problems using public transport and want an earlier kick-off.
Arsenal have said discussion on ticket pricing are ongoing.
In January 2013, Liverpool supporters held up banners inside the Emirates protesting about the cost of attending the match.
"The [November] league game saw Liverpool fans charged ?62 per ticket for a fixture played on a Saturday evening," Spirit of Shankly said on Monday.
"The cost of the match along with the late kick-off saw many fans priced out and for those who went there were many difficulties using public transport to get home."
The supporters' group suggest that prices should match those for Coventry City fans in the previous round of the competition, who they say paid ?25.50 per ticket.
But an Arsenal spokesperson told BBC Sport the FA Cup fifth round clash between the two sides would almost certainly be classed as a Category A or B match, with a lowest potential ticket price of ?35.
The club added they hoped to decide prices by the end of this month, while confirmation of kick-off times and away supporters' allocation would follow soon after.

Robbing bastards. As the banner stated " ?62 a ticket- a working man's sport? I remember the price of admission to the ground was roughly the price of two pints of beer. It's no longer a working man's game and hasn't been for a long time. Credit to SOS for leading the way and actively doing something to try and reduce the price of tickets.

About ticket prices. Someone has to pay for the Bentley the players drive around in. You want the best players you pay. How about that match against Everton! Liverpool kicked the sh*t out of them. Every now and then Liverpool need to show Everton who the real football club is in Liverpool and give them a beating.Comment

Liverpool Football Club was today saddened to learn of the passing of former striker Tony Hateley, aged 72.

Bill Shankly parted with a club record transfer fee of ?96,000 to secure the services of the Derby-born centre-forward from Chelsea in the summer of 1967.
A powerful attacking presence in the Reds' team, Hateley racked up 52 appearances during his debut campaign at Anfield and registered an impressive 27 goals.
That record included a hat-trick on only his second appearance in front of the Kop and a four-goal haul in an FA Cup replay against Walsall.
Hateley began the following season, 1968-69, in Shankly's side but the pass-and-move doctrine preached by the legendary Scot did not quite fit the striker's style.
He left for Coventry City in September 1968 having featured on 56 occasions for the Reds and found the back of the net 28 times.
The Englishman later represented various clubs across the country, including Birmingham City, Notts County and Oldham Athletic.
The thoughts of everyone at Liverpool Football Club go out to his family and friends at this sad time.
RIP Tony Hateley 1941-2014
