@Ops is right about Turner, if he played for a bigger club he would be in the England team already... and rightly so.

I really hope we hang on to him.

Whilst i have a lot of respect for you @ops... I think calling us a poor team is a bit strong... This was our first season at the top level... Hopefully this season we can do a bit more... We need new blood thats for sure, But don't forget 4 of our players have come up with the team through all divisions, Ash is the only man to have captained the same team through all divisions... we gave a few shocks last season... and hopefully can do better this one.
I look forward to the banter... ( good natured of course )
Best of luck to you all.

it was just a turn of phrase mate, but you only escaped the drop by one point so i do stand by it.. when a teams plays 38 games and only wins 8 i think its ok to call them poor..

In the same way if you want to win the league you cant afford 11 draws..

if i had called you 'shite' then that would have been unfair as you are quite clearly not

You have done well to stay in the Premier League, after all it was only 9 years ago you were in the bottom league in England..

      PS.. give us your defender

Hull won 8 games. They were probably the first 8 they played. I dunno what happened to Them from october to the end. They started off Well.

Hull only got hit coming up to Christmas when they started faceing the Big teams they never got they composure back, they got the wind knocked out of them, once they started falling down through the league they could not stop, at the end od the day they were very Lucky to stay up on the final day of the season.

My pick for Relegation this season

          Stoke City
          Hull City
          Burnley

Wolves will survive Hull to disappear .....

Sorry fellows... Was a nice day, so we packed up and went to the coast for the day.

              Lets see...

              1. we only won 3 games at home... Fulham / west Ham & Boro.

              2. We played well away against the "big" teams won against Arsnel, drew with liverpool and Chelsea, Lost 4 / 3 to Man U. Sorry @alunfennenll but have to disagree with you there.

Our slide downwards was simple... lack of quality up front... Cousin good player when he can be bothersd... Folan... not good enough for the top level... fagan... Is top class, full of energy and will chase everything, Geovanni... when on form score from all over the place, After christmas we lost King very troubled young man... which was a shame because he worked well up front for us. After his loan was cancelled we had nobody to replace him... in effect we had little in the way of a threat from open play... so in effect that resulted in us wasting a lot of chances in front of goal. Also we had too few goals from midfield.

As we stand now... Ok a few new players have come in... I still don't see that threat up front, but you never know there is still a little time for fresh blood... fingers crossed.

Enough about us though... I'm having trouble with seeing how you worked out who is going down!!!! Yes Stoke were in the bottom 3 for a long time... but they sorted themselves out and finished well... i see them having a good mid table finish again.

Right sorry, but got to go... heads banging from too many rollacoster rides ect... My kids know i don't do hights well... so they dragged me on every bl**dy big fast, spinning ride they could find.
Am really looking forward to this season... more home wins would be nice... however, we will be first in and last out singing all the wat through regardless.

PS. Got to agree with you about Wolves... They looked good all last season... should be able to do the biss this one.
              Night All.... ZZZZZZZZZZZ

Isn't that like saying his right legs fell off but apart from that he's ok.

                  THE TRUTH
                  The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

                      Torres signs five-year Anfield deal

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has signed a new contract, agreed last season, which will put him on ?110,000 a week.

Liverpool loudly trumpeted that agreement in May, and the new deal includes a one-year extension option that could keep Torres at Anfield until 2014.

The 25-year-old Spaniard, who is expected to recover from an ankle injury to play at Spurs on Sunday, has seen his wages rise from ?70,000 a week to ?110,000 under the new agreement.

Under the terms of his original deal, Torres had the option of having his wages reviewed this summer and Liverpool have been quick to make sure there is no hint of a problem, aware that Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have shown interest in the player.

Manager Rafael Benitez said: 'Fernando is one of the best strikers in the game and, at his age, can only get better.

'Every major side would want him in their team, but he has shown how much he wants to achieve success at Liverpool by committing his future to the club. He's a special talent, but still has the hunger to improve his game.'

Torres was already tied to Anfield for the next four seasons, having signed a six-year deal in 2007.

He goes into the new season expecting rather than hoping Liverpool will win the title.

He said: 'We have no problem beating Manchester United or Chelsea but it is games like Sunday's at Tottenham where we need to show our real title intentions.

'Tottenham is not an easy place to go but these are games we must be winning if this is to finally be our year.

'I am not thinking can we win the title, I am thinking we have to win the title. We came so close last season but for many of the players it was their first time experiencing the pressure of a Premier League title race.'

It pains me to say it but in the present climate he's worth it.
His turn of pace is fantastic and for a lithe(ish) player his strength on the ball is incredible.. (just ask Nemanja)
And yes i'd have loved to see him at Old trafford in a Utd jersey.. but that aint gonna happen now!!

maybe we can compare the ratio of Torres goals to Owen's splinters in his arse off your bench at the end of the season

it'll only take a few iffy games for the Utd faithful to turn..

My God Owen in his day was not a bad player , even for Newcastle when he actualy played was not bad at all ! but United are only going to run him out for 45min or so maybe less if on the bench from the start of any match, I still see Berbatov likely to start most EPL matchs with Owen been used more for European nights ....

Owen Scored 8 last year & in my view 8 is the very most we can look forward to from Owen, the rest coming from Rooney and Berbatov between the two of them the scored 21 with the exception Teves scoring 5 ......

Owens move to Man United will turn out like Robbie Keane's move to Liverpool last season ...........A disaster........

Alex Ferguson or more likely his son has struggled to really replace Ronaldo with a good young talented striker midfielder or forward Qwen is no replacement for Ronaldo who scored 18 EPL goals last season

United can not win the Premiership statistically they are 10 goals short if you average what was scored including Ronaldo last season when there was only four points between Liverpool and United on the final day .....

Liverpool its all your this year
