good luck to scholesy in his coaching role next season.

    giggs keane scholes beckham.

only one left now of the greatest midfield four the premiership has ever seen.

always a sad day when one goes as they are irreplaceable

If the old man was still around RIP he would tell you that Bobby Charlton was the best attacking MF that united ever had.

has to be i think back and front we are ok tbh its the middle we need a bit of flair we have enough runners and people who can move the ball a bit quicker

keeper is a biggy too hopefully he proves to be ok if the deal is done as suggested in many papers

There comes a time when a football manager has ran his course but its credit to ferguson how long he has ran his course and is still running it.
Thing is tho has fergie got the longevity in him to try and build another team like he has already did i'm sure he thinks he has but do the fans think he has ? also do the fans just want to keep buying success which does'nt always work out and every top club goes through a bit of a wobbly, just a matter of trusting the hiearchy and more importantly the manager.
I don't really follow Man Utd to closely apart from what i see on sly sports and bbc sports website but a lot of the fans (don't know if its the majority of them) seem to hate this glazer mob and want them out smartish but will that happen ? and who or what would they like at the helm a rich saudi prince like Man City just trying to bankroll success ? personally if i was a manager i would like fergie take more pleasure in building a team with the core coming thru the Man Utd ranks, but has he had his time for doing this and do the fans have the time to let him or do they want to buy buy buy.

Ps lets face it apart from barcelona being there nemisis on the last 2 times they have met them they are still a pretty successful team and i see some fans being a bit disgruntled by the lack of certain things, but i'm sure the majority of clubs would like a 1/4 of Man Utd success and glory, and being totally unbiased and neutral Man Utd or any other club for that reason has'nt got the right to success just because they are a big club which lets face it the bigger you are the more successful you will be and is slighty unfair on the rest of the smaller teams because they cannot compete on a level playing field.

i think fergie can build another team no doubt a bout it a few times over the years i thought it was the end of an era jose mourinho at chelsea being the last time i thought our days were numbered

fergsuon took it on the chin and made probabbly his best side yet the 2008 mob although i do have an affection for the 94 mob

barring a couple of mishaps over the last few seasons i am pretty confident we would have made the last 5 CL finals which is pretty consistent

we had no centre halfs when we played ac and kaka went mad in 2007 and wayne rooney and ten men cost us against bayern last year which tbh was a double blow cos i think inter were quite poor and i think we would have spanked them

this team though now has run its course we need some fresh legs the only thing now though is whether we have the cash cos i dont think we have too many players who can make the jump from youth even though we have some cracking young lads you have to be something really special to make the big time at OT

pogba i have hopes for the rest im not so sure and in this day and age you cat afford to give them too many runs out they have too take it first go

wellbeck cleverly and machesda may all come back but tbh i dont see any of them being more than squad players at best

too succeed in football in the days of millionaire sugar daddies you have to spend big if the class of 92 beckham, scholes, giggs, butt and nevilles were around nowadays they probably wouldnt have all got the same chances as they got

football has moved on a bit now it is win or bust time is given to no man money is king

Lots of names being linked with United more so now Scholesy has retired but do we have to spend mega bucks to replace him, having just read the following I dont think so. Tom Cleverley can return to Manchester United and fill Paul Scholes? golden boots.

So says Graham Barrow, the Wigan first-team coach who has seen Cleverley mature into a cultured midfield dynamo during his season-long loan spell with Latics.

Cleverley left the DW with manager Roberto Martinez believing he is an England star of the future.

Following the retirement of Scholes, Reds boss Sir Alex Ferguson is on the hunt for his replacement.

It is expected United will dip into the transfer market this summer to bolster their midfield.

But Barrow believes they have the solution on the doorstep.

?Tom is a very talented young man who is heading for the top,? he said.

?I fully expect him to make his mark at Old Trafford and challenge to take up the Paul Scholes role.

?He is good enough and he?s a bit special. United have a fine player and a fine young man returning to their ranks.

?Tom has made incredible progress and he?s going to get better in my view.

?Nothing is a problem for him.

?He?s got the ability and he?s certainly got the application.

?You couldn?t meet a nicer lad. He?s been a loan player who?s given his heart and soul to Wigan.

?United may well spend big to replace a wonderful player like Scholes but Tom will definitely feature at some point now he is back at Old Trafford.

?Is he a better player since joining us? That?s an understatement ? he?s given 100 per cent, he has oozed quality.

?I wish he was staying but you can see he?s one of those United lads who is going to be very special.?

After playing a key role in keeping Wigan in the Premier League, Cleverley now has the European under-21 Championships in Denmark to look forward to with England.

?Wigan will always be close to my heart,? said the 21-year-old.

?I loved every minute of my time there ? the lads, the manager, staff and fans were great with me.

?I?m going back to United looking to build on what I?ve done at Wigan and hopefully I can make my mark there.?

I think this is how the summer will plan out!! Or i Hope!!

wesley sneijder Ashley Young David De Gea's Rodwell,

And i think Berba will be off and possible Nani and quite possible Rooney!! even though he says he's not, But if both Berba and Rooney go we will need a forward, and i for one would love Drogba to come to us for a couple of season!! Can't see that!! anyway there my 2 pence,

Also i think Cleverley will be a good squad player next season and then he will grow and grow!!

                      Love United!

It`s going to be very interesting summer.
                        Hope Rooney will stay.
I `ve read that deal with Snejder is almost done. The problem is his wage cause UTD wants to reduce it. If this goes wrong we are turning for Modric, 25mils + player.
Young is second option if deal with Alexis Sanchez does not work out.

Anyway these are roumours, can't wait to see what will happen. Hoping for a good transfer window.

Didnt Utd try to sign modric last year only for him picking up a injury pre season?

good player modric but i dont think he is quite good enough when it comes too the top end of football

i dont want him personally i might sound daft but i think nzogbia is better and probably a lot cheaper and he is pretty versatile too anywhere accross the middle

rumour is the scousers are getting him though

I am Greedy!! I think it will be a very busy summer for all the prem clubs, I can't wait to see how it pans out!!

                                Bald at 25 !

Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney has announced on Twitter that he has undergone a hair transplant in a bid to cure his baldness.

The Sun reported on Saturday morning that Rooney was undergoing treatment at Queen Anne Street Medical Centre in London after he was photographed emerging from the clinic with a baseball cap and a hoodie on.
After having his cover blown, Rooney then confirmed he was undergoing the treatment, which involves removing hair follicles from an area of high concentration and planting them in the desired spot.
Rooney tweeted: "Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not. I'm delighted with the result.
"It's still a bit bruised and swollen when it dies down u will be first to see it. Anyone recommend any good hair gel. Haha."
The England star then successfully appealed to his 740,000 followers to get #hairwego trending, with the term quickly becoming the second top global trend on the website.
Rooney added: "I had it done in Harley street hair clinic London. Thanks to all the staff who looked after me."
The news drew reaction from fellow footballers on Twitter. Manchester United team-mate Rio Ferdinand tweeted: "just don't go down the wearing a alice band route!! You'll be doing head&shoulders adverts soon! Hope its gone ok Good luck lad."
Meanwhile, fellow Liverpudlian Joey Barton appeared sceptical of Rooney's announcement, tweeting: "tell me ur jesting waz? Hair transplant??"
