    personally i dont think we deserved it,,,they want a legacy so why not russia ? they are an emerging nation,,we on the other hand have emerged a long time ago and are now descending into a 3rd world nation,,,obviously helped along by cammy and co who like said in the previous post were an embarassment to the bid
    puti knew the score and stayed at home
    saying that, FIFA are one of the most if not the most corrupt corp in the world
    cammy and his co-horts have been completely privvy to fifa banking lots of cash through financial institutions based right here in the uk as did the previous goverment
    they got what they deserved
    ~~~~ all !!!!!
    still pished off myself though as i thought i might for once in my life get to see two foreign nations playing a game of footy right here in the uk and battling for the world cup
    The control of information is the consolidation of power
    ?I care not what puppet is placed on the throne of England to rule the Empire. The man who controls Britain?s money supply controls the British Empire and I control the British money supply.? ? Nathan Rothschild
      What a load of crap! this is FIFA with the backhanders again from the billions from Russia, what can Russia offer the rest of the world in football! nothing, this is Putins mafia at work, it was all done and dusted months ago thats why he did not turn up, 2 votes and 1 was ours! he's gone there now to sign the cheques. Lets face it nobody likes us, nil in eurovision, and now here and that platini smerked as well, I say f*** em all. The best we can do now is have our own competion without the corrupted FIFA and light up Wembley for the CLF to show the world what they missed. Russia? thousands of miles away, cold, time difference, I for one will not be bothered with it now.
        With FIFA being so corrupt and Blatter's hatred for England, did people honestly think England would win the bid
          Another argument not in our favor is that we are due to host the 2012 olympics, if we did not of pushed so much for this I think we would have had a better chance of getting the 2018 world cup, I personally would have rather have the world cup in 2018 than the olympics in 2012..
              Personally I thought Spain would have got it, though it's not that long since 82. I think Spain and England had the two strongest bids, but Russia had two big things going for it;- 1)Not staged it before and 2) Eastern Europe has not staged it before, compared with Western Europe's ten occasions.
              I hear what you say about Blatter, I don't think he's Englands biggest fan, but do you think England is beyond corruption? Personally I think all the countries bidding for World Cups and Olympics are at it. The IOC is currupt and FIFA is too.
                  Hmmm, recent revalations about bribes (who'd have guessed there's coruption in football?) and jollies around the globe staying in five star hotels for Beckham and pals and an idea is starting to dawn on me.
                  Personally I think it should be names in a hat pulled out at the final game of the world cup or else the winners can host it next time.
                    The bid was 15million altogether, Beckham did it for nowt and so did prince bill, they love their country if only the team show as much commitment and devotion.
