im using my sisters ds and so, her little cartridge says r4 for (NDSL/NDS) as a sticker thingy.. so im guessing this is real r4 in relation to everyone's problems with it not working for fake/real r4 etc etc? currently have v 1.18

yes m8,
it sounds like you have a real r4.

first back up your card incase it isn't

then download the latest woods firmware.

extract the files and copy the _rpg folder and dsmenu file to root of sd card.

if its a real r4 (which it almost certainly is) it will play anything.

if it doesnt work then copy your old files back from your back up

does this work for all genuine R4 cards? because i dont know if mine NEEDS updating, but i downloaded pokemon white and pokemon black, but when i put them on my R4 card and try playing them its just a white screen :/ can someone help please?

woods firmware is unofficial update for original r4 cards and 1:1 clones.
