Hi There, new to the forum and want to say hi...this site has some great info and glad I found it.

Now to the problem (same as most others), get black screen after mission, reboot and all is good, but this gets tiresome! My question relates to 80ys.. I am running USBloaderGX 3.2 and I have 250 d2xv6(57), which didn't work so tried 249 d2xv6(56), but still no joy.

Does it matter that I am using GX 2.3 or should I roll back to 2.2? Is there something else I should look at and try?

Ok so after a little playing I found that the CIOS in the patch in post #9 did not work with my USB loader GX (ver 2.3) so I copied the rest of the patch over and ran it and all is good. I then checked USB Loader GX version and it is saying that the install from the download is version 2.3. I have checked the settings for the Global USB loader and the individual game settings and all were the same as mine.

So the game is now working...but nothing appears to be different once I used the CIOS from the patch??!! Bit strange but it works...

I've a problem when trying to play Monopoly Street, the screen just got a blank, and nothing happen

Is this the only game you have a problem with?

Well I've played Monopoly Streets on USB Loader 2.2 and 2.3 and they both work. You could have a bad download try it again from another source or PM me for the link?

Driver works on gx 2.3 with d2x v7 and v8 without patching on default ios 249 (56)

I have same problem. Got USB loader GX, but it doesnt matter if I switch between OS249 or 250. Still, after every mission I have to restart my wii :/

me too and 100000 pyramid tried everything with that now over 180 titles good so far!

Sorry for the old quote but The $1,000,000 Pyramid - NTSC - SP3E41 is the one game that doesn't work at all just the black screen and lockup. I've tried different IOS's and screen settings but they are all the same. I mangaged to find another download but that one is exactly the same and Google shows no help.

Last night I finally got The Amazing Race - NTSC - SAGE41 after 2 weeks but thats the same black screen and lockup with all settings.

Driver San Francisco [GUIDE]

Ok I've had another go at Driver San Francisco. I tried out Story Mode and you do the driver training in the undergound parking lot then it says mission complete and you get the black screen. I downloaded Digital Kaos - Downloads - Driver San Francisco Fix. and read the INSTRUCTIONS.txt.

Put the config folder onto the root/front of your sd card.
Put the usbloadergx wad into the wad folder on your sd card.
Put the CIOSRev20 wad into the wad folder on your sd card.
Insert the sd card into your wii and run wad manager.
Go down to wad then click A.
Go down to usbloadergx wad then click on it then install it.
Go down to CIOSRev20 wad then click on it then install it.
exit to the wii menu and both the usbloadergx channel and ciosrev20 channel should be there now.
Click on the ciosrev20b installer channel and ignore the bender music.
Choose IOS249 as the IOS to use during installation, then press A.
Press A on the disclaimer screen.
Choose IOS56 v5918 as the base IOS version, then press A.
Choose IOS249 as the Custom IOS Installation slot, then press A.
Choose network installation, then press A.
It will all download then install.
When its done, press A to continue then press B to restart wii.
Click on the usbloadergx channel and run it.
Click on driver, then load it.
Now everytime you want to play driver, load it with this.

I already have the config folder on the SD card which is used by USB Loader GX. So I backed up my files and added the files from the config folder. I installed CIOSRev20.wad to the wad folder and installed it with MMM. I'm assuming the USBLoader.wad is just the forwarder channel so I left that.

Ran CIOSRev20 and install IOS56 v5661 from Network and IOS249. I ran Driver again and after completing a mission it moved onto the next mission which it wouldn't do before. Part way through the undercover mission I get to the green spot and I get the black screen and it locks up again.

Have I missed something with this Driver San Francisco Fix?

Keith you have just put an old cios 249 over your d2x setup. Driver sf has worked with d2x from v6. Best advice I can give you is to get rid of all traces of sf from your hdd and wii then reinstall your v7 d2x 249, you may need to remove the cache from gx as well but just for driver sf

which I thought it would but I was just following the instructions to get Driver working and it doesnt. I installed cIOS249[56]-d2x-v8-final.wad again to put it back.

Maybe you should add further instructions into Driver San Francisco Fix as its getting a bit old now?

Oh copying the files from the config folder cocked up my game settings the play count, IOS settings so I copied my original back in.

The driver fix requires no further instructions if you don't use d2x then you use the driver fix file if you do use d2x then there is no need for the fix. You have to remember keith the fix was released before d2x v6 and we are now on v8. Yes I know removing all files from the config folder will mess up settings and play count that is what it is supposed to do and why I said do it only for driver sf. Each individual game can be reset you don't have to do them all. I have no idea why your sf doesn't work m8 as very few people are still having a problem it. I can only suggest trying a re-rip from the original disc, whether you have to beg borrow or steal but in fairness you really should own an original anyway if you have a backup.

I've had d2x v8.0 installed for a while.

Ok I download two more Driver San Francisco PAL games last night. I removed my game and added the first one played the game and the exact same thing happened you complete a mission and the black screen and lockup. I add the other game and thats exactly the same. I've just found an NTFS wbfs version all mine are PAL I will try that one when it finishes.

I'm really not that concerned as I don't like the driving controls using the nunchuck because you can't steer the car very efficiently.

I've tried the Driver NTFS and that locks up after a mission so they are all crap.
