yAkidAgain whats that supposed to be as its not a sysCheck report, look at others.

You say you "played Need for Speed backup on it it stopped reading and turned to 4.1U." Playing a game doesn't put back the system.

You may as well disable PriiLoader and do a system update to 4.3 and softmod it again properly.

That won't cause the wii to brick will it? Considering it's already softmodded.

So your Wii is bricked now is it?

Without seeing a proper sysCheck report as instructed in that link who knows what you've installed.

If your such an expert on softmodding carry on and sort it yourself, good luck.

I'm not say my Wii is bricked it isn't. I'm asking if it will brick if I update my Wii which is already softmodded.

              Hello Everyone,
I'm back again to you guys with a similar problem. You guys had helped me softmod my wii and play some downloaded games off of an USB memory stick (32 GB). It was running fine but recently we're not able to load the games from the same USB memory stick using USB Loader GX. It says "USB Loader cannot find HDD".

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

                Hi

Im having a problem loading from my USB hdd. Have also tried a memory stick and it does not work. I get into the loader, it starts a count down and then says it cannot find the USB drive.

I have a USB hdd with no external power. Maybe a problem right there? Its been formatted with WBFS manager.

Here is my syscheck, any comments appreciated. Thanks.

                  Welcome to DK.

You have 14 IOS's that are Stub you need to reduce that to 4 or 5.

Read post #206 on here and do everything suggested.

You need PriiLoader 0.7 add it to the SD card and run it from Homebrew and set it to block online and disc updates, you can turn off the 'A' safety prompt on startup I do.

Passport drives aren't much use on Wii get yourself a mains powered USB hard drive.

                    Hi.
I too am having a problem finding the HDD. I've tried to follow some of the suggestions already in this thread but had no luck. I'm thinking that maybe it's just my hard drive is not compatible.

                          Hi All,
Wonder if you could lend a hand? I decided I'd update my softmodded Wii this weekend after it being left neglected for a couple of years. I went through HackMii's tutorial and downloaded a pack to seemingly make this a snip. All installs ok but now I have my HDD that holds all my Wii games unreadable by any of the three loaders installed - USBLoader, USB CFG loader and WiiFlow. It seems that the drive is happily running until I launch the USB Loader (which I used to use fine before) then the drive decides to turn off so the program does not find it. As soon as you exit the program the HDD turns back on. This also applies to the USB CFG loader. Wiiflow is able to read the content of the HDD drive partition (WBFS) but when launching any games it fails. I'm yet to format the drive and try again although I get the feeling it's something not quite right with my softmod install. Please check out my sys check report and let me know if there is something I need to do? I've tried the first couple of suggestions at the beginning of this thread but all failed to work (using the USB forwarder for example).

Thanks HH, I've done that now. Ran through the entire softwood process again to make sure everything went correctly. Still have the issue with my HDD turning off on USBLoader launch. I have connected the drive to the PC and copied all backups back to the PC without a hitch. This suggests the drive is fine.

I'd say that the drive remains on until the USBLoader info shows the searching begin and showing "configuring cIOS" (This may be the wrong message since I cannot check when the wife is hogging the TV).
I do remember running through a tutorial yesterday at some point when it was highlighting a choice of cIOS numbers C248, C249 or C250. I seem to remember reading the default being C249 although I chose to install C250 as they mentioned it didn't really matter which one to use. Not sure if this is contributing to my problem - or even if anyone follows what I've said?
Another point - WiiFlow can read the drive, showing the games list and playing the start jingle for each game when highlighted. When launching the game it goes to a black screen then restarts the wii.

Any help on where to go from here would be appreciated.
                              Thanks

Not quite sure then but what matters when choosing your default cios is the base. The number in square brackets. This indicates the original ios that will be used to run the games. The d2x cios tend to have the most used base in cios 249
