thing is, we are talking about a fair number of games here, its a 250gig hardrive (i think) full with iso's.
would take a long time to convert then all..
then there is the problem of how do you transfer/format drive and rewrite files...
do you have space on your pc drive pudzy?Comment

well, that will be easy then
copy the drive into a folder on your pc drive
then format the wii drive to fat32
then use wii backup manager to convert and copy everything back
it will take a while but you can set it to do them all together..
just leave it running overnight..
once its done you will porberly find there is plenty space on your drive to back up more of your bought games..

wbfs are smaller than the iso'sComment

Yes mate wiibackup manager will will extract or convert from any drive or game format to any drive or game format, that's why I keep recommending you try it, but your intent on on using wbfs manager, another of the male species that doesn't like change, it was ages before I changed over.Comment

It's pretty straight forward. There is no tut unless I write one but I'm going out for an hour or so. Are you going to be transferring to pc in the original format or are you going to convert them to wbfs as you move them overComment

My first USB drive was a 120GB which would hold 67 games with WBFS Manager, I bought a 1TB FreeAgent? GoFlex drive since, in fact I bought 2 drives one for my friends Wii. They were ?99.99 so they have come down. A game iso is 4.5GB but WBFS Manager compresses it or saves it on the drive as a wbfs because when you add each iso in the list it shows the loaded size which is generally a 1/4 of the iso size.
When you save a game back to the PC is saves it as an iso which to me is strange considering its called WBFS Manager. It won't load a wbfs you have to use Wii Backup Manager or Wii Game Converter GXS to convert the wbfs to iso.
Windows won't format a large drive FAT32 but EASEUS Partition Master will and its free.Keith

Remember what I said earlier. If you use the file import on wiibackup manager you can add the games then extract them onto the pc into wbfs folder (which the manager will create) converting them into wbfs format as you go thus reducing the size required for storage. You then format the drive for wii and drag the whole wbfs folder onto the newly formatted fat 32 drive resulting in smaller total size for file transfer.Comment

For the games that didn't convert just drag and drop them onto the pc as iso. You say have created a folder called games I am assuming inside that folder you have a wbfs folder with the games in it, yes. Check the wbfs folder and all the games that have transfered will be in there own folders that way you will know what hasn't. Do not put iso's into the wbfs folder. After you are happy you have all your games transfered one way or the other, you can go ahead and use aesus partition manager as recommended by keith to format the drive for wii to fat 32 and select 32kb clusters it is the most compatible setup for a wii drive, once you have done that, drag the wbfs folder created and saved earlier with the converted games back onto the newly formatted drive, (the wbfs folder must be on the root of the drive, not inside any other folder). Now launch wiibackup manager and clock the drive 1 tab and select the drive you have just prepared for wii, this will bring up all the games you gave converted and out in the wbfs folder. Now click the files tab and select all the games you had to copy over to pc as iso make sure they all have a tick next to them and click transfer. Select drive 1 that you chose earlier and then wait until they are all across and that's you done.ok , think im there,, well all converted from iso... think some games didnt work, cause when de where converting some went in red, very fast.. now it says complete... have i got to format my drive, then put games back in drive lads... i created a folder =games for the converted ones.. but what or how do i get em in there...afraid to touch anything now in case i lose em...Comment
