I got the USB Loader GX working now for a few weeks. I've backed up all my games onto a Seagate 500Gb drive - all works fine.

I'm in the process of downloading a couple of Wii game .iso files (takes ages - yawn!). Can please someone explain how I can get those downloaded Wii game .iso (in some cases even .rar files) onto my HDD?

    Cheers!
The .rar files needs to be extracted with WinRar, then they become .iso files.
Now, you need to download a program called WBFS Manager to change the format of these games. Look around the download section on this forum, you will find it.

After that, all you have to do is put them on your Hard Drive!

Enjoy with GXLoader! The best USB Loader available!!!

OK when I try to install CIOS rev 9 it goes through doing the patches and content but when it tries to install custom IOS I get and error (ret = -2011)

I have tried CIOS rev 10 and 12 and get the same

I am on 3.4E by the way

Also where do you put the cIOS36_rev9-Installer.dol in the SD card is it on the root or on the application folder? and how do you install it from the homebrew channel is it through the CiOS downgrader?

                    Appreciate your help.
                    Thanks

I put the folder containing cIOS36_rev9-Installer.dol into the apps folder, you then need to rename cIOS36_rev9-Installer.dol to boot.dol

                      that works for me

                        Hi All,

I've updated my Softmodded Wii to 4.0E and all is well.
                        Everything updated and installed smoothly.

Now I'd like to install a USB Loader, but I'm confused above which loader to use.

Has anyone installed a USB loader on their softmodded 4.0e wii that works perfectly?
I?ve read of various loaders such as DXloader, USBloader1.0 etc?..but which one is the best?.

Please can someone guide me in the right direction

                        Cheers

most people seem to recommend USB Loader GX - but i've not had time to test one yet, it's on my list for this week.

Just about to read up on this properly, not in a position to do it yet but I like to have as much info as possible before I start - is it possible to A) boot the software loader and gamecube/wii games from a usb memory stick thing and B) is it possible to customise things like list order and cover art for the individual games within the loader ? Just curious.
