will they play NTSC games on PAL ? or will I get the dreaded b&w screen like I do with DVD's

The problem with old firmwares like 3.3 is that I think the newer games will Error #002 cause they require the newer firmwares?

Yes it will definitely play NTSC games. All you got to do is change the setting and put it the patch to automatic. That's it

It doesn't depend on your wii firmware, it depends on the cIOS rev and definitely your loader. The newer loader like GXLoader has this fixed already, so there shouldn't be any problem again.

The only reason to upgrade to 4.0 is because the wii will be able to read SD Card bigger than 2g and you will be able to load VC games straight from it.

Oh now I was thinking of getting a larger SD Card to store all the USB loader picture files on as well as my other apps so maybe I should look into FW 4.0. What are VC games?

BTW is there a good "How to" on upgrading to FW 4.0?

VC games are virtual console.They are the old games from older platforms such as atari, NES, SNES, Sega Megadrive, etc.

You also some new games being launched regularly by Nintendo.You can buy them online or download them.

can anyone please tell me a good site to download usbloadergx 3d covers. because whenever i try to download it off of the usb loader it says a number then not found. In the end i get nothing so i want to be able to manually download them.

If your wii has been softmodded then by all means you can use waninkokos 4.0 firmware upgrader, if not DON'T do it because you will lose all your stuff that you have installed and probably never get it back.

Yes you are right! Thanks. I needed to put cIOS rev 10 and then both USB Loaders work great. USB Loader 1.1 and USB Loader GX. The two games which were giving me 002 errors work fine with the loaders, woohoo. PS - I am on 3.2E not 3.3E.

Yes I've used the twilight hack so I take it that waninkokos 4.0 firmware upgrader should work?
