ye m8 i have removed fladhes from wii b4 its just like removing saved games.

and if u really want to make sure u can always factory set your wii .................

Hi all!
I've been pointed to this site from a mate who downloaded the softmod stuck it on an SD and bam all done.
I've got the dummies ver and it goes to SD no worries but my Wii locks as soon as i select the SD icon from wii home screen

Any ideas?
Its a 1Gb Kingston SD if it makes any diff and i think my Wii is bang up to date as i foolishly did a system update about 2 months ago.

i also need help with my wii.... the wii for dummies worked for me but then something happen to my wii then it end up deleting everything and so i then tried the dummies but didn't work and also tried the one posted above and still nothing but a ??? on the ds screen menu.... it was at 3.4 until it upgrade me to a 4.2... any ideas??

think all us who did a silly 4.2E update wont be softmoding our wii,s i asked a pro today about it. he looked at mine and said bin it you wont soft mod this its version 4.2 unless someone on this site works out how to do the 4.2 looks like were stuck with shop priced games he did say we might be able to down grade firmware but he need his game cube to do it which he didnt have with him anyone know here if there is a firmware downgrade flash

hi all new to this ive just managed to install the homebrew channel and the uloader channel followed intructions from this site thanks to all concered (sorry about spelling ) just wondered how to play copys on my wii now thats done please help itching to get some gaming done

Sorry for being a complete newbie ... Trying to install the softmod and after I go to the memory card and run the bootloader Iget prompted to install a specific firmware. After this I can't do anything. My Wiimote goes off !!! Tried multiple controllers and all are fine until the bit where I opress A to install .... nothing works. I must be doing something !!

I do belive this is something of a wiiv4.2e issue, until we get a genius to get v4.2e cracked we are all doooomed to buying shop games i have been on here since tuesday mostly all day trying to get help from ppl and yes i get homebrew ont wii but nothing else will install. It either freezes screen goes off or just plane nothing.

Pls pls someone come up with a homebrew that will work on all wii's v4.2e.

MANY THANKS AFTER OVER ONE WEEK TRYING I FINALY GOT MY WII SOFTMOD. I HAVE DC2 CHIP AND HAD CRASHES OLD GEMMA SOFTMOD THEN SOME ONE IN THE HOUSE UPDATED THE WII TO 4.2E AND THE WII WOULD ONLY PLAY PAL BACKUP DISC I TRYED & TRYED THIS SEVERAL TIMES NO JOY THEN WHEN IT ASKED ME TO GET RID OF ISO249 I DID THIS. AND LOADED GEO AND USB IN HERE HALF WAY THROUGH INSTRUCTIONS IT WILL NOW LOAD ALL GAMES IT SAID YOU ARE NOT USEING ISO249 DO YOU NOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING I SAY YES AND IT LOADS ANY GAME THROUGH THE GEO CHANNEL

Soft-mod Wii v4.2E

Hi guys,
I'm also struggling with my wii, it won't accept my SD card. And i've already tried several softwares from bannerbomb to Hackmii installer. Nothing seems to work, even reformatting the SD-card every time. Not with FAT16 or with FAT32. Is there someone that can help me,plz?

this is the software I used for a 4.2, dont know if it has already been posted. Really easy to follow and only takes 15 mins

Im wondering, softmod for 4.2e Black Wii Limited Edition.
Dvd's doesn't work because of the d3-2 chip on the dvd drive. Isn't some kind of work around instead of buying an older dvd drive ?
Any suggestion would be great.
