4.2E softmod

I have a white Wii 18 months old running 4.2E. I've loaded HBC and bannerbomb but dont know which cIOS and Loader to use.
I have read most of the posts, in particular Dells guide for the black Wii and others on ver 4.2. Any help will be appreciated.

cIOS 15 runs the latest/newest games m8, ULoader plays them all.

Loaded cIOS15 - from red screen left button down to IOS15 - loaded ok - Loaded USB Loader 1.1 - just get dark screen - no buttons work

No no no ,, load it up again, dont move it to anything m8, install from network is the only change you make.
Try it again m8.

try and put tape round the lock on the sd card thats wot i did and it worked

Thanks for your help so far.
I?m a Satellite,Cable & PC nerd ? I like to hack anything that costs money to use. I am into the R4 for the DS and the the Acekard also. Playing with the Wii is something rather new to me & getting as far as loading the HBC is for me nothing short of a miracle. All the tuts for dummies I have used seem to work so far then something goes wrong. I have the IP address for my Wii . It logs onto my wireless router OK but I cannot access the Wii from my PC.using http or ftp. The red screen I referred in my previous post was when I ran cIOS15 but ios249 just hung up and would not load. There are so many different loaders, tuts, cIOS's ????? etc. DK is a great forum to discuss problems and I am sure I will get there in the end.

Yes m8 you have loaded it in wrong, and possibly over written IOS 15, start again, you have the homebrew channel installed, so just start from there, this time when it comes to installing cIOS15 leave everything alone apart from changing it from a wad install to a network install.

If I load the default IOS249, it hangs up. I cannot see any network option !. I have reloaded bannerbomb, HBC and Bootmii. I guess I?m stupid and missing something simple!

When it loads up, it will ask where you want to install it from m8, by default it's on WAD, move using the wii remote right until you get install from network.
Before doing any of this make sure your Wii is connected to the net via wifi ok.

With Wii on the network (checked with weather Channel) I loaded cIOS15 from HBC there is no wad/network option on the first screen. Scroll right gives you IOS254 scroll left gives you IOS1 If I pick the default IOS254 it crashes. I can only get the wad/network option by scrolling left to IOS61, hit A button, then I get the wad/net option on the 2nd screen. It loads from the network with lots of OKs except on one line ?Installing Custom IOS ? Please wait ? install ERROR (ret = 2011). Back to square one!

Off the top of my head I'm sure it's just pressing A on the remote a few times, then the last thing it asks is about where to install from, change that to network, then press A again, dont change any other settings m8.
If that doesnt work go back to just after installing HB channel and load the files in again.
We'll crack it m8.

I used this guide, worked a charm but its just not seeing my HDD, I'm gonna try the Digital Kaos - Downloads - USB HD Loader and Digital Kaos - Downloads - cIOS36_rev9-Installer to see if that works.
