Wii 4.2E softmod tutorial. Easy to follow guide.

umm the app i used to play gamecube games was a channel and worked great. it wasnt the backup channel, i forget what it was called but when you clicked on the channel and it went to the start section, it had a picture of mario and luigi if thats of any help(maybe you know the one im talking about and i could dl it again and try it)

ok so i found out the name of the channel its called wii backup launcher and it does not work...
is there a way i can restore all of the wiis files i dont care if i lose any of my data i just want to start my wii from scratch

yep, gc backup launcher starts and goes to its splash screen then my wii resets...

update......now i can play my wind waker through gc backup launcher, i just collected all the wads i have and just did a group install of them all and then run mios patcher again and viola

does this mean that if i start this guide from scratch it should all work and my wii will no longer be sort of all over the place?

i was hoping if i started from scratch maybe wii backup launcher may work. gc backup loader is good but i have to go through homebrew channel to get to it... a wad that made gc backup loader a channel will suffice if you know where i can get one please

this is a forwarder wad that means it connects the main screen to the boot.dol in the apps folder,so you can boot gc loader from main screen.

Would anyone be able to help me? I have been using my wii to play wii and gamecube backups and they have always worked fine. I have a wiikey chip and have also softmodded the wii and its currently at 4.2E. All of a sudden it wont read gamecube or wii games. If I try and use a loader it comes up with an error and if i try and load it from the disc channel both discs keep spinning and eventually it tells me to eject and restart the wii. What should I do to get the games working again?

sounds like you might have a laser problem,try putting a iso on a usb stick/hdd and see if the wii can play a game off that.

I can't get it to work = do I need to load a HDD loader to be able to play games!!!!
