4.1 to 4.2 softmod

Hi

I have previously used the 4.1 softmod from here (many thanks) and it worked a treat.

The Wii now wants to update to 4.2. Should I let it update to 4.2 then use the 4.2 softmod or can I apply the 4.2 softmod directly over the 4.1 one.

If I let it autoupdate to 4.2 can it pick up that I have previously softmodded and brick/ban my Wii... I know, Im just worried N1ntendo have taken a leaf out of Microshafts book when it comes to brick/bans...

it really couldnt have been simpler. Its at 4.2 now and Ive just installed BBC iPlayer from the Wii Shop.

i have read other threads on 4.2 update that i can cause problem with homebrew channel. does this fix that or is the problem only happen with 4.2 softmod and not with updating from 4.1 . . .

this is a safe firmware updater,gets you to 4.2 without messing up your softmod

i would, but if you have not modded it already you can do it by nintendo official update,makes no difference

hi , slight problem. I ran the firmware updater, and it encountered an error when running the wii shop update.
What do you suggest now, as when I insert an original disc, like wii sports it says that it needs a Wii system update on the home screen where the disc blcok is?
