Thanks Reddevil157. Tried to update using your post. Updated Wii successfully - however, when launching games using cfg games starts to load then freezes up at point at whcih it displays messages on how to hold wiimote. The games then do not load any further.

Any ideads as to what may have gone wrong?

if it happens on all games ?... try updating your cIOS to rev 20, there's a wad in the d/l section by happyhighlander, just put it in the wad folder and install with wad manager, it just over writes the existing one.

why not use this Digital Kaos - Downloads - v4.2 safe firmware updater it will do it all for you

i have the same problem. I have 4.1 and need to upgrade to 4.2 coz there are games that would not run.

i hope i am doing this correctly.

Well if your Wii isn't online you can download 4.2 and 4.3 and update it youself.

I would think it will depend on how old your Wii is on the earlier ones you can burn Zumba to a DVD and play it through NeoGamma. I play Zumba on my 4.3E of the HDD.

My wii was purchsed February 2008 I recently hacked with the Bathaxx it downgraded my system from 4.3 to 4.1. I tried to run from HDD but when it gets all the way up to loading the actualy game sequence ( I can run the game add my players name) but after that the system reboots. Is this a IOS, Firmware incompatability issue?

try installing Digital Kaos - Downloads - priiloader v0.7 if you dont already have it and block disc and online updates.

i try to press iether A and B since i reintall it again the process . i do unplug the wii but still the same errors...

If you only want to update to 4.2 to play burnt games with NeoGamma this will depend if your CD drive is old enough so please post a sysCheckb19 as instructed in that link. Playing burnt games isn't really an economical process today. You may as well install USB Loaders and play games of a USD hard drive. This will save storing all your games on DVD's and saving them somewhere.

If your CD drive is old enough you should be able to play burnt games with NeoGamma providing you have the correct IOS's installed.
