hi ck, just realised there is no boot.elf file on the material I downloaded? I guess this is the important bit. there is a boot.dol file, but not .elf file.

Hi there, the problem seems to be that Ive put the SD card in the Wii and select channels and it seems that the wii does not detect any data on the SD card. THe card is a Sandisk 2gb, its not a SDHC, its an SD only.
Not sure what the problem is?

                Hi fella.
Thanks for your help. I realliy like the idea of using the all in one MMM app that
Dell_xps has created. However as you say it needs .elf file or install hb chann first.
Is there a way that I can install the hb channel, then use the tut that dell created?
Obviosuly it needs to be the right installation material for hb on a black 4.2E wii.
                Thanks for your help too.

ok then mate what i would do is get the hack for 4.2 that doesnt have the the all in 1 mmm app copy that to ur sd card install the homebrew channel and bootmii with that then once thats installed delete all the files from ur sd card then put on the ones with the MMM app etc go to homebrew channel select MMM app and u should be away

Good man. Its great to see u guys offering all this help as I'm a total novice
And my life aint worth lving if I brick the wife's wii!
Any chance you'll be around in a couple of hours to guide me through it, either on msn or chat room?

Also where do I get the standard files to dl to install hb? Also I guess I install the bootmii as ios?
Then I can use the priloader via the hb channel to make a back up copy.
                    Thanks

well ive had plenty of help off various forums in the past so im just passing on what i have learned. im quite certain the files are on this site to download if not, i can send u them. yes install bootmii as ios its the only option then wihile on homebrew channel press home button then launch bootmii from the list but u will prob have to use gamecube controller in bootmii on black wii to backup ur nand. i usually install priloader last. i should be about on and off all day if u need help

if you dont have a controller try using the power button to toggle through menu and the reset button to select

I also had a pm from dell telling me to wait a minute or so when entering the
Sd menu and then it should pick up .dol file.

Hi I tried the advice from Dell, and unfortunately the Wii didnt pick up any .dol file. Basically I went into the SD card menu, hoping that it would pick up the files and run the .dol files, but no joy. So guess we'll have to revert to shorts idea. CK - you mention above that Im to read something, but there is no link?
                              Thansk again guys.
