      Still have HBC installed after updating to 4.3, use only II mod part

      Hi, ppl.
      I had the HBC installed and updated to the last version, and today i updated from 4.2 to 4.3, HBC still there, i was using the 4.2 tutorial to softmod, but only installed HBC, Bootmii and made a NAND BK, so my question is can i use the second part of the mod to continue, or should i still use the 4.2?
      Thanxs in advance..

        @jufasi
        Western Digital also works well. I've also had luck with Fujisu and Hitachi.

          HELP!!!
          Ok, here's my problem. I can"t get HBC to load. From Wii or Bootmii all I get is a black screen. Here's what happend... I had 3.2u and all was good. I played GH6 (PAL ver.) using USB loader. Game froze about an hour in requiring a hard reset. After that HBC would not load. I tried deleting and reinstalling using the old Twilight hack. Seemed to install ok, but still no HBC. Unfortunately, I never made a nand backup (dumb-ass!). Reluctantly I updated (to 4.3u) thinking it would remove all mods and I'd have a clean slate to reinstall. Found your forum, dl'ed your hack pack, and got HBC, Bootmii installed (as boot2). Booted back to Wii...and still no HBC. The screen just goes black and I have to hard reset. I did the nand backup from Bootmii since HBC would not load. I'm lost now. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you in advance.

              recommended was Super Smash Bros Brawl(ntsc-u) ,would the dvd I have (PAL version) still allow me to do the 4.3e mod ?

                  The Wii I am going to mod was purchased secondhand and has a lot of the previous owners info ..(saves etc) which I would like to remove & start from fresh before I mod it.

                  Is the below good advice to start me on my way ? ....

                  "Factory reset? "

                  Go into the system options and find Format Wii System Memory (Wii options, last selection on last page) occording to the manual that will wipe all data from the Wii's internal memory. Not sure if thats a true factory reset, not sure if it will act like when the box is open and prompts you for settings, but all game data will be erased .

                  ===========

                  After that was done I was going to use the 4.3e mod tut from this thread & start from there.

                  Anything else I should know before starting? ....

                          If you don't know what the hack does- you don't need it.
                          Your wii should now block Disk updates and online updates

                          Note: Prilloader installer gives two errors-
                          /loader.ini couldn't delete error -106
                          /password.txt couldn't delete error -106
                          this is not a problem just carry on

                          thats it done
                          Just a note...
                          You say up the top to browse to the SD card and delete the indy saved game file... That shoud read WII not SD...
                          Great instructions though...

                              all these sites, you mean this one as all the files are hosted here,and posted for the use of dk members,any non members only have to make one post before they can download,seems reasonable to me.

                                Eventually took the plunge, and the Wii is now updated - thanks for the walkthrough! One thing I have noted is that games from the HDD which are NTSC are only in black and white - is there any setting I have overlooked to change this, PAL ones are in colour.
