              Hi Guys

n00b question following using this tut to softmod from 4.3e

Lookiing to use the console to connect with friends who also have wiis (non-modded) to play games etc, however its asking to enable wiiconnect24. Now, since I've understood wiiconnect24 to be nintendos way of forcing updates, I'm cautious about doing this incase I lose the softmod (additionally, I dont have Indiana Jones disk anymore to re-mod it)

Is there a way to connect with friends without enabling wiiconnect24? is there a wiiconnect24 patch to allow you to link up with friends but block updates? Or, am I actually erring too much on the side of caution and its actually safe to enable wiiconnect24?

              Cheers in advance folks

Install priloader and block all system and disk updates.

As far as i know once its been modded you dont need original indy game, this is only for virgin Wiis that have never been modded. I dont think Nintendo are up to speed like Bill Gates anyway so chillax.

                Andy.

Ok cheers Andy - priiloader is installed with disk and system updates blocked, gues sI was concerned that WC24 might over ride this.

Funny you should mention MS, I was one of the 600,000 that Gates burnt two years back so I guess I'm naturally cautious now!

                  Cheers!

                      Hi Guys
I have got a 4.3e. Have got Indiana Jones Lego Original and played and saved 1st level.

When i put the SD card in the Wii says that 'the device inserted in the SD card slot cannot be used' Is this a dud card or is something else wrong

                      cheers

Have formatted SD card 2gig to fat 32
Downloaded and copied to the card the following3 files...

Sounds like ur SD card is buggered mate. Try it in a different Wii? Borrow another one of someone & check if that works... All else fails, buy another SD card ;-)

I went for the 2GB one. But 1GB is fine...

                                Wii USB/Flash-drive Help

                                Hi,

Thanks for the tutorial. All seems to be working (from what I can tell) but my Wii's new and I'm having the reading problems using burnt DVDs.

I've got an 8GB USB flash-drive and want to see if I can use that to ensure everything's tickerty-boo before folking out for an external HDD.

My question is; is there a specific way I have to format (the flash-drive) and copy the Wii image file onto it?

I have tried just copying the image onto the flash-drive but that's not working.

                                Thanks in advance
