Looks pretty straightforward. Does this work with a previously modded Wii that was upgraded to 4.3?Comment

Great stuff, installed as per tutorial and all works great. I can confirm you don't need to complete Level 1 on the Indi game thank God (or at least I didn't).
Now all installed, is there a way to remove the added options fom the Wii menu that are likely to cause trouble if selected? The loadMii channel, and stuff like the Hackmii installer and Priiloader from the Homebrew channel?
With young kids around, this is going to be asking for trouble when they start messing.
Essentially, I would like to be able to use DVDs as a source of playback, which NeoGamma, via Homebrew channel successfuly does. When played from Wii's main menu, it crashes the console big time, which I suspect is normal behaviour. This is also likely to cause a few problems too I would imagine.
I guess what I really would like is a bullitt proof set up if possible, where config options are well hidden away.Comment

Thank's, I'll read up on this, but are you saying If I remove the SD card, it's current softmod status is retained but menu references to it and HBC etc are removed? Then I install Neogamma full channel on top? I'm sure I've got this wrong as it seems far too simplistic and as I say, I really need to read up on this as I'm a total newb in this area.install neogamma full channel then you can run without the sd card in so the kids cant mess things up.

delete the neogamma forwarder channel from the main screen if you have one, then install neogamma full channel then you have the option of taking out the sd card or just renaming the apps folder the another name then the homebrew channel wont find it so it wont display in the homebrew channel if you need to use the apps folder another day just rename it back to apps.sigpicComment

I renamed the apps folder as suggested, but put the USB Loader in it's own apps folder as I decided going down the usb route, using a hard drive as a central library. I moved the Homebrew Channel well away from the front menu screen also. So far it works great.no it really is that easy

hi ive done the first bit and about to back up nand but my card is 256mb (states anything from 64mb-2gb can be used in instructions) but it comes up with an error message saying my card is too small 600mb needed, is there anyway round this? my other 2gb card is in another softmodded wii and didnt know if i could use that??? as i thought the sd card had to remain in the wii after modding.
Just looking for a way round of not having to go out and buy another sd card
ThanksLast edited by royboyz; 19 May, 2011, 19:19.Comment
