Can someone please help me, as my name suggests, I'm not the youngest (or brightest) when it comes to WII. I tried all of this and put on a soft mod on 4.3E in australia. I then went to change the settings to put on the wii dark (red) format and from that point on, my screen is black. The only way i can even get close to the wii working is switching it off (holding the off button for about 10 secs), turning it on while pressing reset which gets me into the bootmii menu, that is the only way i can get into homebrew, i can't get into anyhting else. Have i fu***d it or can anyone please suggest a fix, i am ready to smash this bastard to piecesComment

Thanks for the tutorial. Playing the first level is the hardest part of the game. Tried copying the save games over from the SD card but it wouldn't show up in the game. Once this was done just followed the tutorial and everything worked like a champ
Just remember not to rush it and you'll be fine. Now I've got to find a spare USB hard drive!
Nice mod.Comment

Excuse a noobie. I have follwoed the guide for a 4.3e and so far so good. When I get the to the second section, Install WADS, I have formatted the SD Card, extracted the Modpack and followed the instructions. When I run Launch BootMII, instead of anything starting the WII sits and flashes Blue. Have I missed anything.Comment

Installing WADS
Now you need to install your WADS.
From the main Wii Menu screen, load HomeBrew Channel; press -HOME- on your Wii remote & select Launch Bootmii
Multi-Mod Manager will Starts (via cboot2)
IMPORTANT Never Uninstall IOS, you will brick your Wii
Select "WAD Manager" - Press A
Press (1) to "Install all Wads" - Press A
19 wads should install without any issues.
"Press any button to continue"
VERY IMPORTANT Be sure all the WADS install
If the WADS fail to install, install them 1 at a time.
Once all WADS are installed, Press B twice to return to the main menu
when i launch bootmii nothing happens apart from the 4 icons are there like when u go to do a nand back-up, pls help.Comment

OK, so far so good. Sodtmod worked and I have HBC plus the channels for USB and Disk. I have DL's an ISO and burnt to disk, it worked fine. I have an external USB HDD and pendrive. Both are detected by the USB channel but it cannot see any wbfs games copied to them. Also any tips on copying existing disks to my HDD. Once again thanks for the help to a noob.Comment

what program did you use to put the iso's on the drive?
you can copy your backups to your hdd by pushing the + sign in the bottom l/h of gx screen then inserting the disc.sigpicComment

I'm new to this soft modding my 3.4E. I got HBC setup no problem.
Now this is something thats bothered me, every tutorial I've read they all format the SD card before putting anything on it. Why does it have to be formatted every time if you delete all files and folders then there shouldn't be anything on there?
I have an external 147GB external USB drive formatted WBFS and loaded with WBFS ISO's. I now need some help to load the correct USB Loader so it will read these games? Now I rea dthere are various USB Loaders out there that work on different versions of the Wii. I have USB Loader - UJJB, USB-Loader_v1, USBLoaderGX2.0_AllinOnePackage and USBLoaderGX_1.0_Installer which one is suitable for my 4.3E?
When I try and load USB Loader GX 2.0 it says it needs to use ISO249, WAD-Manager 1.7 says
IOS249 - v65280 - STUB - Wanikoko's cIOS or STUB
so if that IOS249 is being used or setup for Wanikoko's cIOS or STUB can I overwrite it with another ISO made from NUS Downloader?
Actually my first job is to get BootMii to run before I mod anything so I can write my NAND to an SD card just in case I brick it? Now when I select BootMii from the HBC menu the screen just goes black. I'm sure I read it or seen it on a YouTube video that you have to press the power button one or two times then the reset button three times before the BootMii shows. I've pressed these buttons and number of times but I still can't get it to show up.
Can someone please give me instruction on how the backup my NAND?Keith
