        are you still getting the same disabled code as I can calculate more that just might work

        EDIT : also do you have a service tag

          yes, the same code comes up. as far as I can tell, this unit was pre dell. in case I am wrong though, I can't find a service tag on it.

                    tried them all. this alienware is proving to be, well, truly alien. I still appreciate the effort. tried to donate to site, paypal is having difficulties still.

                      the ones I have gave you are for all the different modes of Phoenix BIOS
                      and they have been for a QWERTY type keyboard

                        as far as I can tell, the keyboard is qwerty. I'm going to head out and buy a usb keyboard and try those generated codes again. maybe the laptop's keyboard is problematic. again thanks for the effort. As I don't socialize on the net regularly, it is sites like this and individuals like you that can make the web a great place be.

                          qwerty keyboard is first 5 keys on top line are QWERTY
                          its always worth trying another keyboard because as you say you may have a sticky key

                              I am new to the forum and usually fool around on idevices.. Anywho..bought a dell latitude 13 at a yard sale but bios is locked... Sevice tag #1PJJ5L1-2A7B...Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated...thanx in advance techies!!

                                in the meantime try Vuz6t440dIs08eyl 8th and 13th are zero's last is l for leg and note changes from upper to lower case
