Hi, I have a Dell Studio 1503, Service Tag #7ZTQLH1-595B. I have tried another password site that gave me this password, 2h82eevc , but it doesnt seem to work. Fello said I would have to get it from Dell or a pay site but the suffix is not that old. can you tell me what I'm doing wrong, or what to do?

that is the correct BIOS master password for that tag, but if its a newish laptop it could have the 2nd generation of suffix -595B tag and these are too new for our calculators and the previous advice given was correct

Hope you can help me, as I have tried many different solutions, but alas, without result.

I would be really grateful if any of you hightec-guru's could inform me whit the BIOS Admin Password for my Dell Latitude D630.

              My service tag is: 7ZVMD3J-595B

              Many thanks in advance!

              /Ramon

              ***UPDATE!***

I have found a solution for all DELL Latitude D630 laptops ending with -595B, here. I just used the Windows binary file (via dos prompt in Windows) and it works!!

              Happy New Year all!!

passwords for the later laptops are case sensitive and need to be typed in as it is generated

                    Hello everyone!

I stumbled across this thread because of a similar issue with a Dell Latitude D630. I have a user that said they suddenly had this pre-boot authentication screen popup out of the blue.

The service tag for this machine is GTJ3QG1-595B. I have called Dell and they provided me with a master password of 4qlkgwqc which I have also corroborated using the Dell.exe password generator.

The password does not work, however. I looked into shorting the pins on the EEPROM but that's apparently impossible with this model. External USB keyboard does not make any difference.

Is there anything else that can be done or am I looking at a replacement motherboard?

                    Thanks!

that password is correct, a couple of questions

are you using a qwerty type keyboard
have you inputted the password in lower case
have you tried pressing Ctrl+Enter after inputting password

I am using a QWERTY keyboard (even tried attaching a separate USB one). I did input all the letters in lower case and also tried the CTRL+Enter method. Still no go, but thanks for the input!
