MY sx125 suddenly stopped recognizing its cartridges ( they were about half full before this started) I hope the reset tool can help me.., These chip restriction suck! My next printer will be something else... What would you recommend? canon, hp or something else ?

This program will not solve your problem. You need to buy new inks.

THE WASTE INK COUNTER RESET SOFTWARE ONLY RESETS THE WASTE INK COUNTER. NOTHING ELSE.

I really thought the name would of explained what it does.

I was just wondering if this would work for resetting the chip when manually re-filling ink cartridges?

in addition to that there is this pipe i found on the printer from the back which seems to be inserted on a hole attached to the carpet, and i decide to take it out directed it to an outside bottle so that the ink goes into the bottle. is it wise to do this?

You will need to find a source for the correct firmware. As far as I'm aware nobody here has printer firmware.
