The only solution at present that I know of is paid sites, if you google 1D3B BIOS password you will get a few hits

Well, there IS a 1D3B keygen out there. Unfortunatley, the creator, who released the other dell keygens, is keeping it to himself at the minute.

I recently bought a Dell laptop from the Graysonline auction site advertised as "BIOS password locked". I thought a simple jumper short or removing the battery would reset the password, but apparently it isn't that simple :-(

Can someone please help?

I think that worked! It accepted the password OK but it now prompts:

Hard-disk #***5NJ1AJN9-595B, the system Primary HDD, is protected by a password .... Please type in the hard-drive password

So, do I need another password or can I format the drive in another computer? (I don't care about the data - I will be installing my own OS).
