is there any more numbers after 82N3C2J like -595B
and have you typed the tag and serial in the correct case as they are case sensitive, also they are for a qwerty type keyboard

The service tag number is correct, 82N3C2J, all letters written large. Without attachments-595B and the Express Service Code: 17573977819. What is a qwerty keyboard strokes? In Germany, bought keyboard?

QWERTY keyboard is when the first five keys of top row are QWERTY
it also needs to be set as English language

I believe all Dell Service Tag numbers are 7 digits and all end in 1. I tried looking up the tag you gave, substiuting a 1 on the end instead of J, and it does not exist. Look for a white bar coded label on the back of the machine, for the Service Tag.

For Dell GX520,s there is a jumper to disable passwords on the machine. You can look here Documentation under System Board Components. PSWD JUMPER - remove it.

Thanks, I've removed the jumper, I'm fine.

I unfortunately made a mistake in the service tag number, the last number was wrong. Apology ... the correct service tag number: 5Y4CW2J-595B. I'm sorry.
