Secondly i would like to say your a lifesafer it seems for many many people.. I am currently going through the exact same problem with multiple machines i purchased, i got two and both had BIOS passwords! For some reason DELL gave me the code for one but the other i have to do a legal change of ownership which will take weeks!! Your kidding me arghhh!!

I was wondering if you could help me out?
The code is #7XF2W1S-595B
Ive tried to find the generator everywhere but havent had any luck grr. If you could help me out i would be so bloody grateful.

Hello All, and many thanks to all these helpful posts.
Many users would not be able to find answers without your posts.

I didnt mean to disregard board etiquette, I chalk it up to being at the end of my tolerance level for whomever placed a BIOS password on the laptop i was working on and then had the audacity to sell the laptop to an unsuspecting user that then wanted to change their boot order (for-shame..)

Was correct by the by, I "found" some source code and compiled an app that generates the key codes - for anyone else looking for the do it yourself way the program compiles from Dell.c and spits out Dell.exe when compiled. It generated the password that unlocked the bios for me.

Alot of damn work for a program that i would most likely use once. so i will offer help to anyone i can that posts to this thread needing a password.

If yes, just google it, you will find difrent methodes to get around that....
