I calculated using -595B suffix if you can see anything different post it

double check you have posted correct tag digits

password is the master BIOS password (not Admin) although it will work for Admin providing Admin password has not been changed by user.

it is also for QWERTY keyboard

you could also try a usb keyboard in case one of your kes is not working correctly

you are entering code in lower case as password is case sensitive

normally if there is no suffix then -595B generally works, if it doesn't then no other ever works.

do you get an error code if you type in the wrong password 3 times

I entered all lower case exactly the way you posted. I don't get error just message wrong password. After 3 times it wants to shut down restart then I can try again. Can I try changing the pw in windows xp somewhere? I am trying to reinstall windows from xp cd but when I enter R for repair it asks for admin ow. One more thing this laptop is for my mb star. May the installation of that put in pw without me knowing what it is. Cheers

if you want to reinstall you don't press R for Repair

does it ask for password if you just press Enter

the password is only to get into BIOS to allow changing of BIOS settings

if user Admin password has been set then you need software to reset it

google "forgot my admin password" and you will get all you need to know

Hi, mic from Scotland. I have a dell latitude d630. Service tag DLM723J and am locked out admin password. Don't think it's been reset as had the laptop since new, but managed to change user admin rights doh! Could you post the admin password please. Much appreciated. Mike

Sorry to be a pain. Password didn't work and went into setup realise the sticker with the service tag is cut sharp at the bottom
The service tag should have read DLMZ23J-595B
Can you please post a admin pass to match this
