its happend to me over the last 2 days
spooky man

i went to micrsoft site and a little window open saying fix me so i clicked on it ran a programe followed instrucions and seems to ok for the moment

Cant say spooky. You think how many pcs are in use in this day? How many componants faulty causing a BSOD? Driver configurations wrong?

Anyway back on track to barrowmananrews fault and where he is upto and what he has tried?

havent tried much yet, been gathereing info.

my cpu temp is 46'c, fan speed 1739 rpm.
while trying to get into my bios i found windows memory testing tool in my boot options,

i ran it, took about 15 mins and come back with no errors.

also downloaded a app which gives alot of details on my system and posted in the hope somebody could spot a problem or summit out of date...

ok, found the site you're on about and compared it to REAL ms site. theyve done a good job except for the fake microsoft fixit pop up
