            Basically i have topped up the sim with ?10 credit.

            Here are the settings which i have configured.

            Config filename : 02
            Dial number : *99***1#
            Username : payandgo
            password : payandgo

            APN : payandgo.o2.co.uk

            Preffered DNS : 193.113.200.195
            Alternate DNS : 193.113.200.195

            The problem i am having is that it is connecting and showing bit usage and time logged on, but when i try and open internet explorer or Firefox it comes up with page can not be displayed.

            It also shows a blue light on the dongle when it is connected.

            Any help would be appreciated.

            Thanks guyz.

              I have even tried this method but still no joy. I guess it will have to go straight in the bin.

                I got this to work.

                Could someone confirm whether the dongle light should be flashing red when connected using the O2 iPhone SIM? Flashing red means roaming?

                  Try changing the dial number to *99#, keep the same user and password, but let the other settings be auto detected... works for me! The blue light reflects when you have good signal, it goes red when it's crap!

                    one last thing though. my modem is flashing red led. it states this is active data transfer in roaming status.
                    would this be because of poor signal as i notice the blue led refers to the 3g connection. sorry if this all sounds a little thick.
                    but top marks to all the brains behind this scheme
                    The red light is when you've got crap signal mate, it goes blue when 3G hits - and it's actually fairly quick when that happens... well, perfect for browsing anyway, and I'm used to a 10mb cable line!

                      Red = Low signal
                      Blue = 3G

                        For anyone thinking about doing this - the price on the free dongle site has gone up to ?9.99 - but they chuck in some music downloads or something... which is nice of them...?! Ha! Offer ends on the 31st (Friday) though, so hurry along!

                        You could always look elsewhere for them, the model is ZTE MF627.

                        Still, between ?20 - 25 ain't bad for a years mobile internet! I'm getting one for the Mrs this week!

                              Haven't heard of that one yet! Have you checked all of your settings?! Obvious thing to say I know, and I appreciate you're probably not a meat head! Haha!

                                The blue light i get is a flashing one. I believe it is connected to 3g when it is a idle blue light and not a flashing one. Any ideas on what that could mean????
