    I'm already a member for more than 1 month so i hope you can help me with this one...

    BTW... the number of characters/digits needed to unlock my modem is 10... Not the regular 8 digits... I sacrifice 1 try adding 2 zeros from the 8 digits unlock code given to me also by jim. And it did not work...

It reads hardware info, firmware version, imei, sim number, sim pin lock status, carrier, signal strength, smsc and prints it to a screen. It is only tested on a Novatel 950D, but is generic in it's approach.
