i use the protek 9600ip not hd and have plenty of epl footie and films to watch but if you are buying the hd version you get even more sats and channels to choose from, and with the team that supports the protek server are exellent..... there has been some problems with nova sports and is now running with sports 1&2 of wich shows epl..... yes thanks ive just seen it has or should i say protek has its own server. would this mean that files keys etc are sent to box via them ?

yes mate .... sometimes you do have to put new software in yourself and is realy easy to do ..... google nannox support and all the support you need is there......BJ1

its been really hard work on my own manages to flash images and channel list editing but when i installed enigma come to a brick wall.
Would the servers be preinstalled if i bought a new one as this is where i was stuck

protek boxs come with fta software installed but once the software is installed the box has a auto-update facillity that recieves updates when needed. the 9600ip requires a patch lead, loader and sw to update for the first time but the 9700/9710 or 9750/9760 are very easy and take 5 mins to flash with a usb stick. the protek mk-1 is very new and runs on e2 which as you know is a little more difficult to run but still uses the usb to flash first time ect. the protek requires a full-time stable bb connection but the dark forces have a excellent record and i myself can recommend them. regards mdt

you need to scan the satellites in then press.. ok then blue to give you the package lists for channels that clear. look at 42e/23.5e/19.2e/16e/13e/9e/7e and 30w for the packages. there are 1 or 2 packages on 7w but this sat needs a huge dish for reliable reception in the uk. regards mdt

Loaded your patch V1.12, worked a treat,
everything 100% OK, over a 100 channels
open on the three Sat I have scanned
in (13e 19e 23.5e).

The Protek does ask if you would like
to upload a Channel list by USB stick.
Will look around for a good Channel list.

Protek 9600 IP dead.

It seems like the old Protek 9600 IP is dead. Only those with a unique ID and th HD versions are still working.... and nobody would tell us how to get this unique ID!!!
