The Asian channels are independant from sky. To subscribe to the packages you don't need to take out a sky sub.
I hope that some day soon sky will take control of these Asian packages so that they can retail them as one package for a reasonable price like VM does for its customers. As they are they are way overpriced.Comment

sky causing problems on 2 sky accounts
hi guy
let me give you guy a situation for which i need big help with:
situation A
ny mates got a sky package (sky world) + all the asian channels
and he was using the sky card for CS. one day whilst the card was in cardreader it stopped showing any chanels from the sky world package but the asian channels were still showing.
when he rang he rang sky tehy told him to deal with **** and he got a letter to say "sorry you are leaving sky", he rangee them and they said they were investigating. Then he got his basic channels back.
his got virgin broadband.
how can they block a card whilst its in the cardreader or dreambox?
how does the signal get to the card whilst in the reader.
situation B
Now i had a sky account with sky basic channels (bbc etc only) and all the asian channel and when he had this problem he wanted to broorow my card to use for CS for a week whilst he arranged a new sky card for himself. when i got my card back i rang sky to get upgrade to have the sky world package and to this day sky keep telling me that there is a problem with the system and they will look into and let me know. I have rang sky about 7 timesand each time its a same excuse there problem with the system. they said they will give me an answer in 73 hours.
my questions are:
1) howw can sky block a card whilst in the dreambox or cardreader.
2)could it be due to CCCAM
3) could it be due to Boxkey
4) the code genrerated by the boxkey and insterted in CCCAM - can that be blocked or hidden in cccam so no one can decode it and get your digibox number.
4) if you are card sharing how often shoudl you put card back in digibox.

Please stick to this thread, this is the second time I have merged threads you have posted with the same subject matter.
And do not post email addresses also. Some of your queries have already been answered in this thread, for others relating to CS use Google.
ThanksLast edited by satsmo; 29 May, 2011, 23:31.I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer. - Douglas AdamsComment

It would be interesting to know if anyone actually got a letter from sky before there channels went off, it could be as simple as: The card knows who many ecm's it should handle in a 24h period of normal viewing, ie 1 x channel, or even 2 x with recording. Now if you have been sharing and maybe 10 people are trying to get ecms out of the card and the card counted emcs taken. Maybe the card is is programmed to shut down in these certain circumstances after overload. You then ring sky and identify yourself and you get the letter a couple of days later.Comment

Doubtful. If that was the case, there would be no such thing as cardsharing. It would be interesting to know if anyone actually got a letter from sky before there channels went off, it could be as simple as: The card knows who many ecm's it should handle in a 24h period of normal viewing, ie 1 x channel, or even 2 x with recording.
