There will always be ways around watching TV. If cs comes to an end people will just stream the channels over the net for viewing or use ip based receivers to view the channels on the TV.

An example of this is Jadoo box where you can add video streams of various free channels via the net.

jadooTV - Watch all TV channels, Internet Videos, Movies, Sports & more, all on your TV for FREE!

If the European Courts of Justice uphold the opinion of the advocate general when they re-convene to make a final ruling on the matter, then perhaps CS wont be as much in demand as package prices in Europe will be completely slashed in order to keep or win customers.

Well, theres now doubt that the prices is way to high. In Norway, I have to pay approx 80 EUR pr month to view Premier League and Campions League. It's easy to understand why some looks for other options...

To me even if they did slash the prices i would still stick with the way I am receiving tv the now and with my receivers, why? Because it is also a hobby and also i prefer what my receivers can do over lets say Skys receivers.

You'll just find the various providers will find other ways to segment the market. Over the long term nothing will change, especially if rights holders assert their rights to restrict their content to certain geographic regions. Even the EU cannot overrule the rights holders wishes - that would be a violation of their fundamental rights of control over their own works.
