just wanted to ask, is it better to get t and k brackets for a motorised set up or will any wall mount do?

there is a slight difference the TM 2600 has metal gears that seem in fashion at the moment but as "shadyback"says the tm 2300 is just as good and cheaper(it has reinforced nylon gearing)I"ve got both nylon geared and metal geared motors and can find no practical difference.

using a compass how can i determine where the rest of the satellites are?
sorry if that sounds like a thick question

                              sorry if it sounds silly,
                              but just wanted to ask,
will obstacles like trees in the line of sight,
                              effect the signal quality?
                              if so, how badly?

sorry for being such a noob!

yes they can, however i have trees in my line of sight on 28.2e and have no probs, but 28.2e IS a strong sat for uk, you MAY have probs with some of the weaker ones
