is someone going to tell me how the EPG works with this firmware? i thought its meant to automaticaly update itself and saves itself to hard drive? mine doesn't still having to update manually by pressing the yellow button

You dont have to press the yellow button to update the epg just press group then select 7 day epg download press ok on remote all data will automatically load after a minute or so.

ok this new software does not allow updating like most box you have to do it daliy .but the new soft ware does allow epg to say when in stand by mode for a couple of hrs then it needs up dating again we are getting closer may be next epg up date will be fine

then look for '7 day epg' channel.

Keep it on that for 5 minutes and you download the lot!

@orientville alot of people with netgear routers have been having problems with this firmware you can look on numerous different forums. I will do the factory reset tho and try once more. I get 20 meg Virgin BB if it works with the super hub then why aint it working for me as ive had no problems with the previous firmware

no problem here with netgear routers the only firmware that did not like netgear was the first release

that was an old post got it working now had to do a factory reset, but the last firmware use to pick up my ip automaticaly this 1 doesn't whenever the box is on standby i have to go to the ip settings menu and press red to make it work

press group on your remote and click on all channels then see if they are in the list if they are then go to the blade menu and click on favourite channels then click sports then find the channels and click OK on both a 'heart' should appear nxt to em then save and come out of that the ngo back to sports and you should find them there.

If they are not there in the list you'll have to do a manual scan from the menu, but first i advise you to click on the following link and find the frequencies for both channels note em down then when it comes to the manual scan input the info and click scan you wnt have to wait until the scan has finished just let it scan around 20 channels then click exit and you should find the channel you want then click save or it might do it automaticaly, then go to favourites like i told you earlier and add it to your sports list.

your in the wrong thread this is for blade 7000 box not open box.

and im sure it will depend on your cline if you get ppv

Firstly,press menu then go to Blade online press ok a file list box appears select[uk-astra 28.2] press ok a new box appears select ur region press ok follow the instructions then select normal db it will update the firmware when finished turn the box off then back on again now go to epg update press ok exit all the way out now go to group and select 7 day epg download all the data for the 7 day epg should load.it works perfectly for my patched new firmware.
