(2) dont know but dont think so
(3) after 1st patch it autoupdates(though not always)but package changes(keys)always auto update ok.I"ve only had to update firmware once in 8 months.
(4) too many to mention the main ones are on 13E,16E,19.2E and 23.5E I have found the box very reliable though you will always get some glitching on some channels but on others none at all. check out service portal online list at the nannox forum site www.xvision.skynolimit.com/ for packages.

went in blind ..gift already activated ,, wasnt to bad but i was
watching hd packages on 28.2 east m8 if you know what i mean has that stopped now..cheers

heres all you should need if you have download privilages,
the 0715 is a full motorised channel list but not up todate as I dont use it.
the 0829 channel list covers just the 4 main bouquet sats and is up to date.

this was a known problem on a batch of boxes with 0.5 watt standby but new boxes going out now should have been sorted.
there is no "restore"software that I can find on the www.protek.tv/ web site
I enclose the instructions for a cure But stress that this was gleaned somewhile ago from the nannox site.and I have had no reason to try it as bj1 says go to www.xvision.skynolimit.com/forum/ for further info and ask about it there.

check out post#52 on this thread it has all you need on it to get started But you must have the box connected to a broadband router 1st other wise no bouquet channels will show.
read the set up guide 1st the firmware refered to on the "boris"site is included in the post.
These STBs are not much use without a broadband connection and just very expensive FTA or official card boxes
