    Blade BM7000s

I have a Blade BM7000s, does anyone know how to suck the channel list out of the Receiver.

I purchased the box 12 months ago pre-programmed with all the Channel lists set up in groups and a NEWCAMD share setup. The subscription about to end and I want to start exploring the box, but I want a backup of what I've already got. (I.e. Channel list and connection lists)

Channel lists are available for the blade from the online server, Also there are quite a few members on here who have done channel lists for them and seeing as they are also identical to the TM5402HD you can also use there channel lists if you so wish.

A backup of your channel list and server settings can be sent to an external USB stick

This may also be of help thanks to Master G

just use a fat32 usb stick and go into the menu, and back up your channel list onto the stick, its that simple

          Firmware

I'm going to check the firmware version on my BM7000s tonight when I get home, but in the meantime could anybody tell me if the standard Blade firmware has the hidden menu (9991). Does it support CCCam \ NEWCAMD as standard or do you have to flash a modified \ unofficial firmware. Also has anyone got any experience of signing up to a ca*dsharing server for S** HD and what sort of money are you talking for a 12 month sub. Also as it stands my box is configured with two connections. Is this normal (i.e. do these sites give you a duty \ standby server config)

          Any help will be appreciated.......

The official firmware does not support cccam/newcamd. You need the patched version.

The card sharing services are against the board rules to talk about. Some give you some than one line though, try Google

              Firmware

The firmware I am using is probably from April 2011. (Never been flashed since Early August 2011, when Installed). I occasionally get a picture freeze \ blip especially on S*y one and sometime S*y Sp*rts 2. Does anyone know if the firmware releases since last April offer better stability. also the EPG needs to be manually updated by pressing the yellow button when in the channel list, do the now have a workaroud for this problem........

The advise I'm getting is really appreciated, I've learnt more today on my Blade box than I have since it was installed a year ago.

I have had a separate motorised system for about ten years and am reasonably knowledgeable on sat systems, however I'm really a newcomer to the Blade BM7000s \ Car*sharing set-up.
I paid to have it installed and just let it run for twelve months without messing with it. Its only cos the subs up soon I've starting playing.......

From my understanding there is a Firmware from January and one from around May this year, from reading it appears the January one is a lot more stable than the latest version.

Do a search for 'Blade Firmware' i am pretty sure it will yield the information you want

I'm running the latest patched one and all is fine. Granted youtube and the new features are a waste of time, it is stable.

mine has the may 2012 firmware in (up from jan2012) and seems ok to me

I would advise you to make a note of any "lines" in your box under 9991 that shows as CONNECTED before flashing with the unofficial firmware

no the official firmware isnt patched and no 9991 menu on official flash

if you are running lines then it must be patched, even if its an old 2011 patch

no the new patch wont improve glitching as its a line issue not a patch issue

cs isnt discussed on most forums and definitely not on here and especially not prices, nothing personal, it applies to all

no they dont come with any lines, never mind two

                        Firmware

I think it's a patched version from April Last Year as I have the ability to enter 9991 and get to the lines.
I've recorded the lines by photographing them.

Now I have a better understanding I want to do the following:-
Backup my current Channel List and Connection List.
Reprogram the channel list with a more recent .NDF file I have obtained for S*y from DK.
                        Reflash with latest Unofficial Firmware.
Re-Enter the existing lines and confirm I can clear channels.

If I can prove all of this I will purchase 2nd Receiver for my Dad and set him up with a Server sub when I renew my own.

Thanks everybody for all the help.........

In the newer versions you are able to update the channel lists via "blade online" in the menu.
However if you want to backup your channel list go to downloads in the menu and click red yellow or green to save certain files.
The latest patched firmware is from 05/2012

                            do it in this order

backup your channel list to usb stick
                            factory reset
                            reflash with may 2012 firmware
                            reboot
                            factory reset again
load in channel list of your choice

then if necessary sort out usals, AV settings, and finally the 9991 extras

Just a quick question for you owners can you not also backup to USB your CCcam/newcamd config like you can on the 5402HD, without having to write down and even take photos of the relevant information
