And those who say they are life long hobbyists have probably just dipped there toe in the water in the last 15 to 20 years when the Digital Boom took off, A life long Hobbyist/Enthusiast is someone who has long since seen the start and finish of the analogue days and before that was also a keen HAM radio enthusiast.

well i cant speak for any one else but i have been a satellite geek since 1987 when i was the ripe old age of 9. never had a ham licence but i was brought up on a old viking 20 channel AM CB radio which is still in my loft along with many many others i collected over the years.

lmao, thats just a fraction of what i have collected over the years, most of which in the loft, as i said i'm a life long satellite hobbyist and i'd never consider selling any of it, id rather throw the lot in a skip than sell for less than i paid for them.

if it had not been for s*y and pay tv there would not be any football on tv and the money would not have been there to pay the wages or attract some of the best players on the planet to the pl.

S&y need more competition and the EPL need to spread the rights across all TV, so that those of us who can't afford to pay extortionate subscription's every month to S*y can view these match's.

the first old league 1 matches shown live were not on sky ,i think it was itv ,the clubs were paid around ?50,000 per match,brian clough said they were getting it on the cheap
