judging by what you have posted already , Latitude: 52.2666? Longitude: -1.5330? , then the above would be

      longitude 001.53 W , latitude 52.3 N

sounds reasonable to me , apart from a compass does not point to true south but points at magnetic south which is quite a few degrees away from true south

your "true south" is very close to thor at 0.8w , so if you get bbc world news from that satellite the motor will be close to the zero marker, the channel should be booming in , same as the music channel which is also fta on there

yes you manually move the motor AFTER the skybox has moved it to 0.8w

in simple terms, the electric motor is never moved once it has stopped on thor , not by remote control, or by any buttons on the motor
so no electrical activity at all once its on thor at 0.8w, until you have located the channels, peaked the signal and quality and locked it all up

I have never used a skybox but my spiderbox has similar settings so you should be ok with those figures

yes you are on the wrong sat (its 23.5e), the correct sat is near true south in your case, once you are on the correct sat of 0.8w you will get bbc world and the music channel

so 23.5e is miles away from 0.8w

watch the video again in the other thread, then do it that way

because they use the same transponders on different satellites, so the details for a channel on 0.8w are the same details for a different channel on 23.5e

in other words its like if you the same car as somebody in the next street , the main difference is the owners address and appearance, with the extra identifier of the registration plates being different, but when they come off the production line they are identical except for any vin numbers

you may find that for one actual transponder details, if you used the same transponder on 20 different satellites that you get 20 different channels with it

                        edit

ps:- you have already indicated in other posts that you were using a magnetic compass to find south, well that compass would have told you that those channels were nowhere near south, even though its not true south its a lot closer than 23 east , possibly between 2 and 8 degrees out but not 23.5 out

nope , the lnb is not relevant, single , double or quad makes no difference

if its moving to 23.5e from 28.2e then its only moving less than 5 degrees when the total movement should be 29 degrees

yes , sounds correct to me, but when its near zero it should be getting bbc world news or the music channel on 0.8w thor

I dont know if the iphone app checks for magnetic south or true south, suggest you check the actual info on the app
