how to install a motorised dish

ok so when your dish spins round from say 28 to 13 how far from your wall is the dish getting closer to wall

i've just reflashe the box as i deleted hotbird as soon as the box turns on its says moving to astra 19.2 then says bad signal

ok so can someone confirm this is my details of where i am
Latitude: 52.4216?
Longitude: -1.9137?

your dish isnt lined up correctly then


try and get the maximum signal strength by adjusting the dish on the pole l/r and u/d


if you are unsure of where south is for thor you can use UK sky to set your dish i have and it worked fine


point your dish to where your sky dish is pointing make sure it recieves the maximum signal you can get by nuging the dish to optimum signal strength and also make sure your pole is dead straight

then go to your box and set your long/lat and then do a manual search for 19.2 the dish should go to it if its all lined up correctly if ok try the rest it should find them all

if however say it finds some but thor is weak or not at all its one of a few things

your dish is not level and its losing the arc as it swings round its not big enough or there is something in the way

no matter now, i found the answer to my qestion on satellite dreambox stickys ,installing a motor and the answer is yes it is the same satellite.
