      Thanks guys.
I'm due to get an 85 Penta fitted to my house (between Liverpool and Chester) this weekend. Any dish I fit needs to be on the front of the house and a 1m+ dish just looked too obtrusive. Little worried it might not be enough, but from a few user discussions this seems to be the smallest dish that will get a decent range of channels in the North West. I will let you know what sats are found easily on my Dreambox when I get set up.

As I am sure you have gathered by now, there is only one type of programing I am really after (and it's not smut). Anything over and above following the reds is a bonus

On the Technomate the guy set it up with we got ones as far as Hispanic Sat, no bother on the main ones. Getting the motor to be run by the Dreambox with the Digital Kaos image isn't proving so fruitful yet though. Thinking of changing for an image with USALS to see if that helps.

Just got your post half way through flashing with the latest BombFree gemini (4.6). Have tried nabilosat inbetween (also no joy). Will be tryinh yours as my next port of call. Currently nothing moves the dish. Does anything like the LNB (currently set as o) the voltage (set as H/V) or any other setings need to be adjusted?

Tried the Gemini suggested and the motor still won't budge. really struggling to work this one out. It is a technomate motor but I can't see that causing the issue. Weird that it worked perfectly from the installers Technomate box, but will not budge with my Dreambox

Seems a bit strange to me m8. I had a tm5400 turned the dish no probs. Got a OM box put Nabilosat sat on and never had any probs with that neither.

You have set your co-ordinated in the box havent you ? Lat and Long ? and tried a scan on one transponder ?. Could be a faulty motor. Try the TM again and make sure the dish is still turning,

                        The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

have you set up the box properly..??

see page 42 of the attached manual..

also are you using gotoxx if so read this..:

The DM500s doesn't support gotoXX. The long way is to use stored positions is described below.

Please note that your zero satellite (1W in this example) will depend on where you are in the world.

Go to Menu > service searching > motor setup

                          Mode: drive to zero

                          and press go

Then change the mode to position and select 1W:

                          Satellite: 1W
                          Drive the motor to zero.

                          Mode: Position
                          Satellite: 1W

then use the < > arrows to move the dish until you get a lock. STORE the position (I use the same number as the satellite).

                          Then SEARCH.

Repeat for 13E, 19E, 28E, storing the position for each.

The installer is going to come out and check the motor again in the next few days.

I have gone through the manual and seen that post before OPS (not sure where as I must have looked on about 20 sites so far this evening). I have tried every setting I can see for motor (on both goto xx and without it). Nothing makes the dish move at all. even the small shifts don't do anything.

The fact that all is well with the fixed dish would suggest to me that the power is coming from the Blackbox, but who knows. Have posted a support request at Linuxsat (where it was bought), have asked the dish fella to pay me a visit too. If I knew someone else local with a reciever it would be easier to diagnose. Not quite ready to order a better one myself till I get this running.

are you sure that your f-connectors on the motor/dish and receiver are all connected properly! make sure the copper braids do not tuch the main inner copper wire!
