      Aye, did look at a whole range of boxes but couldn't justify the expense of a vu or xtrend box.

      As to how much better the H series is, well quite simply it's a lot faster doing the following;
      Flash an image
      Boot time
      Crossepg save/load after download
      Pulling in the EPG info when access the main EPG
      Scrolling through the main EPG
      Scrolling through the fav menu
      Basically it a faster version of the 2s, the last 2 points been the reason why I wanted a new box as the lag was annoying.

        Great build as was the last one, i only have one issue, why are the picons so dull on this one? and is there an easy way to change them so they are nice and bright like in the previous image?

          MK's Picons ie the nice and bright ones, have a huge memory footprint and a complete set would fill the zgemma's internal flash, on the older images only a select few were added, with the new set you get a complete icon set for all channels at a fraction of the size and it's the most current picon set.

          1. Download the picon.zip and unzip the folder
          Code:
          https://www.dropbox.com/s/j60te4juawdg2sr/picon.zip?dl=0
          2. Weed through the picon folder and remove all 'none working' HD picons, Incorrect referenced picons ie Animalplnt as the correct one is Animalplanet etc, Vmedia picons and picons for any bouquets you don't use ie if you dont use the 'Adult channels' remove all the 'named adult picons'. This will reduce the size of the picon folder.
          3. FTP to zgemma's picon folder location /usr/share/enigma2/picon and delete all the files in that folder
          4. FTP over the picons in your already weed out picon folder to picon folder on the zgemma /usr/share/enigma2/picon
          5. reboot

          You could place the whole unweed picon folder on your USB drive and do it that way but you will get a performance hit when accessing your EPG/Fav/InfoBar so I don't recommend this.

          You could also, just go to the plugin menu and download another picon set but this is hit or miss to how updated the picons are.

                For the original Zgemma series ie s 2s h1 h2 using kiddac's skin then;
                1. FTP the following file from your zgemma to your PC desktop /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd/general.xml
                2. On your PC open general.xml with an xml editer and find the following;
                <!-- numberzap -->

                <screen name="NumberZap" position="108,593" size="240,81" flags="wfNoBorder">
                <ePixmap pixmap="mybackgrounds/numberzap.png" position="0,0" size="240,81" zPosition="-1" />
                <widget name="number" position="15,5" size="210,38" backgroundColor="skydarkblue" transparent="1" font="skymed;25" borderWidth="0" valign="center" halign="center" foregroundColor="white" zPosition="1" />
                <widget name="servicename" position="15,45" size="210,38" backgroundColor="skydarkblue" transparent="1" font="skymed;25" borderWidth="0" valign="center" halign="center" foregroundColor="skyblue" zPosition="1" />
                </screen>
                3. Change the Sizes and Positions to suit and save the general.xml file
                4. FTP your new general.xml file from your PC to your Zgemma /usr/share/enigma2/slyk-1-hd/
                5. Reboot

                    Ok, redownload the image from post#1 unzip and place the 'zgemma' folder on your USB drive, then it to the rear USB port. Power up the box, on the front it will say 'BOOT' then 'USB' press the front standby button it should then say 'FLSH'

                          You don't need an update to fix, I've set up the image to do this so that the Irish channels people want to use in the UK are added to the main bouquets ie Setanta HD is added to sports. Anyway to fix it do the following on the remote;

                          Menu-setup-service searching-autobouquetsmaker-configure
                          Include 'not indexed' channels change to 'No'

                          Setup your ROI and $ky(uk) regions and scan.

                            Try formatting the USB drive he used to install the image with, if it completes the format sequence then it's a problem with the HDD. Try formatting the HDD in a PC first then get the Zgemma to initialise it.

                              Done as you suggested mate, it finds them fine but it just won't mount them, he usually uses a 320gb ,that wouldn't. And just tried stick used to flash after formatting and does the same. Weird ain't it

                                Slightly confused, what do you mean 'it just just won't mount them' what are you trying to do with the drives.
