Here is an unbiased review from my mate, he is not aligned to any forums.
I asked what was box like
"The gift channels have been fine, although some odd ones that are supposed to be open all the time arent. no problems on 16e, digitalb, pink, tring all ok. canal+ france on 19e ok as well, although the few hd channels i've found to be a bit elusive.

all in all though, i think its a cracking box, picture quality is excellent with the sd quality being better than anything else i've got

Never judge against forums, only the receivers. This box stands up good against anything in its price range and the added bonus of the gift channels.
Oh by the way if anyone wonders about my connection with this receiver? There is none I am banned on Alsat so if anything should be anti spiderbox, but the receiver quality speaks for itself. Also the price tag.

This is the last time i going to post in this thread it is starting to get like a school yard argument .There has been enough pros and cons for people to decide if they want this box or not.
But just for the record i have no personal hate of alsat it just some were i choose not to go (just not my cup of tea)

The rulles says no c/s and not send problem of other forums here...

all what you and some others have talk here is Card sharing and aganst alsat and bullshiting or advertising difent box to the thread is open for Spiderbox....

when the thread is for the Spiderbox...

if you really like talk is better go over speicfitaions wich kind of chipset or quality ,not jump in conclusions...because darkman have bann some one or alsat like that and this and bla bla like a kids..

Hand's up who's got a spiderbox?..err well i have!!..wot do i think of it..Mmm now let me see..picture quality is good [hd version]..easy to set up,well yes although some people need a little help setting it up in the first place..is it glitch free well in the past i must admit to having some loss or breakup of channel's [but improving all the time]..Is it easy to patch yes..doe's the remote work..yes..is the support good..at the moment yes..value for money..if i got the use of what i'm getting now[for twelve months] then yes the rest would be a bonus..will we be getting more package's [read up on that one]..Not being a technobod i chose to go down the non linux route but having got the gist it of will probably go that way in the future..

Darkman has the right to bring out as many receivers as he wants, its an investment And aslong as it does What it says on the tin, this is why we find ourselves in a debate.
