Well, I put my order in on friday with the code, and got half price deal.

Got an email saying :-

We have successfully received your Sky TV order. Your order reference number is *********.

We just need to confirm some details with you before we can proceed with your order. Please call us on **** *** *** as soon as possible so we can complete your order.

Is this just a formality? do they ask everyone if it's a friend and family offer? Are they now asking who you friend is as they seem to have pulled the offer???

if you dont call the number given to you by email, sky will cancel your order within 24hrs of the email being sent...

as 2 of my friends found out, they didnt call sky to confirm the order, hence sky emailed them back confirming that the order has now been cancelled.

sky have now requested that they supply them with new codes, if they wish to subscribe again.

u can can probably understand how p****d my friends where!

i didnt call to confirm by phone when i ordered

i received an email confirming the the install date then a day before my install yesterday i recived a phone call from the engineer saying hell me with me in the morning

had mine installed, all is well and im happy
called sky this morn to check my billing dates half price package on my account
"however"
everything , sports , entertainment all coming though at half price but tried to charge me the full 9? for espn
i said i have screen prints of my order that the total was 26? not ?30 something that they were asking , so they credited my account for 10? and said they would get my half price espn sorted

so make sure after your install you check they havn't tried to do the same with you

good luck guys sky sports HD is awesome , this box and service really shows how much virgin suck !!

took my engineer 15mins to have dish up and box and equipment installed , was finished before the coffee i made him went cold

Just called now, cool and the gang.

Asked for my order number, confirmed address etc.

Ran through my order, box, hd, all packages, the lot ?24, so half price. I asked to add ESPN, which he did at ?12. I said is it not half price, he said, oh yes, you used the (something, mumble) code. then changed to ?6, so ?30.25 a month for the lot. No mention of dodgy codes, who are you, just confirmed. Fit this sunday morning. Should be up for cup match!!!

And e mail just came confirming order and date.

Will be looking at the welcome pack closely to check price, espn not at ?12 and all!!! but I did ask him 3 times it's defo ?6.

Just called them, she said o that's a staff code I can't deal with that I'll get someone to call you back, so waiting to find out if i have got it

Dik, thats odd, I had no problem at all, talked to a chap called james. He didnt even mention the code, just the price, which was all half price.

the codes have now expired they wont work for anyone

when i rang the number last Thursday they wouldn't accept them only on the net it worked
now they have expired on net also

these offer codes are no longer any use to anyone

it maybe time to close this thread so it doesn't get any1s else's hopes up

ull have to wait for next set of codes or offers that go around sorry guys
