Hi All,

New with the Blade. But I have a quick question ?
Is there anyway to set a program reminder with the blade - similar to how Sly receivers do. IE watching bbc1 and setting up a reminder for 8pm for ITV program and then you get a pop up on screen saying the program on ITV is about to start?

I think its near enough the same as with $ky epg, open the EPG, find and highlight the program you want to set a reminder on and press OK.

I dont think it says program is about to start on screen though, box just changes to the program saved in EPG earlier without warning.

i have this box and i have to say that i think its a great box easy to set up and to set the timer u can all so press manu and it got the timer settings there to

Anyway to put MGCAMD on this box? Got a line running on newcamd but keeps freezing apparently its because its ment for mgcamd....

You want newcamd. Most subs do it I think.
Just get a test with a different sub.

does this box allow you to record internally to an HDD.? What image would be best for this..?

It seems Blade has released 14/03/12 firmware for the BM7000s which now encorporates the videoshare feature.

As I understand it, no patched version of the videoshare firmware is out...yet.

Also, the changelog is as follows:

UPDATE - BM7000s - March 14


1.You Tube interface improved.

2.Blade Online updated.

3.Videoshare function added.

4.You Tube and Videoshare added to Media Player screen (PLAY button).

5.Memory usage improved.

6.Aspect Ratio can now be changed for video file playback by pressing WIDE button.

YouTube is poor in my experience. The box is great though. Hopefully patched version will make it on here over the weekend.

Its a very very good box, up there with DM800 In my opinion, for ease of use its excellent, and the ability to play MKV and full HD files tops it off!

I absolutely agree with this... it is a really superb box, the best out there by a mile.

I've owned loads in the past and I can honestly say that this is the first box I have ever had permanently sat in my lounge as my everyday box. The menus are like lightning.

The YouTube is much better in this latest version too, and you can now change the aspect ratio of any video you are streaming to it.

I stream everything from my lappy to my Blade, its dead cool.

I'm really keen to have a go with this Videoshare thing as well but just need to get my head around it first .

I can see a load of underground Netflixes popping up everywhere .

BTW, mods... this thread is 19 pages loong now... time for a dedicated Blade section yet?

One year in and they are still adding killer functions too it.. cool, really cool.
