Hi

You have to put the newer firmware and then press the digits either 777777 or 8888 cant remember exactly and then will show you 2nd part what you need.

Also there is clone check firmware as well. Have a look round the forum, Il see if I can find it as well.

Afaik brown. thats the black card reader sat on brown circuit board.

Stupid question, but if I upgrade to the latest firmware and it turns out to be a clone will it be a paperweight? Same here I just have 0100 on the ccid. Havnt used the box in months but decided to take it out of storage.

Yes after you reboot ten times it kills the box if it is a clone. It not a chance I'm taking so it's upto you m8

As pointed out by celticnthell you ave to reboot 10 times BUT once you find out if its a clone and you put your saved dump or older firmware then afaik no harm done. From what Ive read that seems to be the case, Im sure one of the more knowledgable guys can confirm if this is the case.

So personally might be worth taking risk just to find out so you know for sure for future upgrades.

Hi guys, bit of a noob here .

Anyways, i have an openbox s9 hd, don't know if it's a clone and don't know what firmware etc...

All i wanted to do is have the channel list set up like the standard Sly tv guide, all up to date, including the sky box office movies and sports (like yesterdays boxing match) all working and ready to go.
As i said, i'm a noob so any help would be greatly appreciated and i am sorry if i've repeated something that's already been answered before.

yep, just delete the duplicates and the ones you dont want. Go into your programmes favs list and the blue button is the delete.

I installed this on my new s10 and lost everything.

This immediately took off all satellite names and gave me (sat 1/9,
2/9, 3/9, 4/9, 5/9, 6/9, 7/9, 8/9, & 9/9)

I updated my flash "OPENBOX_S9_HDS2_EuropeVer.abs
"
which returned the satellite names, selected 28.2 and scanned. now I get absolutely nothing.

Tried these other 2 as well, all give the same result now.
SKYBOX_S10_CTM.abs
openbox_S10_CTM.abs

Now I simply get nothing

this is an updated channel list for the openbox s9
its set up the same as sky uk with bbc 1 at 101 and so on up to channel 700.
also the sky sports channels 401-405 are the hd ones.
there may be a few dead channels but most are correct.

these are the newest f/w and channel list that i got off here and put on mine afew days ago, all works fine here. I have the openbox s9.
