Latest firmware for openbox S9 / S10

Installed this version with the .abs file dated as 13-07-2011, but on checking the info on the S10 the version is still the same

Thanks mate for pointing this. I got the files from manufacturers site and tested before uploading but apparently forget to check the publish date.

I am a bit puzzled here mate , just so i have an understanding can you confirm,
you took an older firmware from manufacturer , labelled it "new 10/07/11" when in fact it wasnt new but old 21/06/11

does a f/w actually exist in real-life from 10/07/11 ???

Them Chinese sites often label an older firmware with a newer date. Trying to get some traffic I presume

bad sound problems watching movies any one sorted this out

Quinnyp Try changing the output of the sound in the TV setup in menu. Think there a few options to scroll thru there for the sound format
seemed to improve the distorted sound for me on explosion scenes
Anybody notice the dark scenes seem very dark on the movie channels?

I have updated software for S10 dated 19/07/11 in first post. Downloaded from company site (without any comments or what is new) Not tested myself yet.

tested and seems ok , info reports date as 14/07/11, no rebooting and lipsync good , only issue`s with these later ones is the channel lists are in 3 columns on screen , and long names are cropped to about 8 or 9 digits, impossible to tell which discovery channel is which and all the +1 channel characters are cropped off. I think this is a skybox f/w with updated boot screen to openbox, as skybox f/w displays the channel lists in 3 columns afaik.
Also noticed signal strengthg seems poorer on later f/w . old f/w pulled in 90% from a minidish , this can pull as low as 5% on some channels and max`s out at 75% highest .
last point is Cccam seems to take a bit longer to start when switching on the unit , screen displays "scrambled" for 5 to 10 seconds after boot up.

hello,new here so be gentle i have done the update and there seems to be a problem with the standby on the remote? any help or updates please.

answer to standby prob

Hi

I refer you to sakay's earlier response to the same issue:what you need to do is access menu, then information, then press your coloured buttons in the sequence red, green, yellow and blue then press number 8 on remote. Then press standby button. This will solve your problem.

Once again, this is not my fix,it is sakay's fix!

s9 feezing issues

does any new firmware address channel freezing

sorted the sound out upgraded the firmware everything running ok except the box now freezes when put in standby and got to use the switch at the bck to rebboot it,any one got any ideas how to solve this

tryed another firmware from 2010 ,now can get it to go into standby with remote and the clock comes on the front which never did before but wont come out of standby ,got to switch it off and on at the bck ,some one help me out on this tryed a few different ones now.

try this=menu=information=press ok= press your colour buttons from left to right=press 8=press standby..might take a few goes, but it defo works.
