Hello. First, sorry for my English.
I have a openbox s9 HD pvr.

My problem was that my S9 don't boot and always show in the panel a red led.

I read all post and tried a lot of ways to revival receiver but always shows error STB...

My solution was that my power supply was bad. C11 is 10V and 1000microF. I change him for a new condensator and... all works fine!!!

My problem was only the power supply don't firmware.!!!

I hope that my experience helps someone.

hi darvash thanks for the useful info but I've noticed that when said box's go down particularly clones
like F5's for example & I know they are clones because after opening them up they don't have a
separate power section inside anyway it tends to be the front display gadget/device the one which
displays the channel numbers/on-off display column is the part which is not working @ all which
makes said box FUBAR & door wedge material however thanks for the useful info my Man & a

Please help. I have a v6 box stuck on load, but when i try to flash, to the point where i turn the power on i get the dim 8. When i cancel the upgrade it thenreverts back to be stuck on load. Any ideas???

Normally when the dim red light is on and a figure 8 shows it means the EPROM chip has failed.
No fix so a bin job.

Got f5s with the dim 8 problem. Anyone got any ideas? Tried several loaders, but with no luck. Not tried a different psu, but it does work on my own f5s box. Is it still worth trying another?

Hi, does anyone know what cable can be used on a windows 10 laptop (ie usb to rs232)? If not windows 10, then which operating software? I know windows 7 works on my desktop

Nope. It's for flashing (or dumping) the firmware only.
